What qualification do any republican candidates have? We'll compare notes when/if you answer that, but I won't hold out much hope that'll happen.
So, despite how defensive you are in regards to Hillary, you still can't come up with a qualification besides her age or birthplace. Hmmmm.
Secretary of State First Lady US Senator Now, your turn. BTW, I wasn't defending her per se, I was arguing the reasoning behind statements here. I think the democrats have better choices myself.
Well, she certainly does have the "age" thing covered. That's for sure. Other than that, I'd like to know what she's done to deserve the presidency. Let's see... she was a First Lady. No, that won't do. She was a carpet-bagging Senator from Arkansas who ran in a liberal state and won on name recognition only... no, nothing there. She failed to receive her party's nomination for president against a nearly-unknown first-term Senator.... well, so far nothing stands out. She was appointed Secretary of State and did absolutely nothing during her tenure except allow four brave Americans to die in Benghazi... no, not good enough. She was involved in the Watergate hearings and said that any president who lies to the American people should resign... well, that's a point in her favor. But, then her husband lied to the American people and she didn't say that he should resign.... so, that's a point taken away. Thus far, she's a complete zero.
But you have to have some accomplishments. First lady on a cheating husband. SOS with Benghazi, Arab Spring, etc. Senator sponsor of resolution honoring the victims of the bombing of Pan Am, and A resolution supporting the goals and ideals of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. I am not impressed.
Still...it beats the pants off any republican candidate. But you keep stonewalling. A righty specialty. This has been one the least inspiring circle jerks to date here.
What did she do to distinguish herself as SoS? Any historic treaties or agreements? What leadershiop position did she take on the world stage? **cough*Benghazi*cough** What did she accomplish as a Senator? Did she write or sponsor any major legislation? Finally, I can't believe you even mentioned First Lady. Wanna re-think that one? **cough*Monica*cough*Stand by your ma*cough**
Surely you realize that between now and 2016, the dumbocrats are going to try to build Hillary up any way they can. In their eyes, she can do no wrong. Sit back and watch all the shmoozing begin! Dare I say that if she had male genitalia (and who can really say whether "she" does or doesn't?), they would have their mouths firmly ensconced around it.
You guys are scared of her. Thats it. Thats why you cant come up with one single republican candidate to compare with her. Not one. Pathetic. But keep on ripping on Hilary. Its obviously all you've got.
Which one? The ones I am most interested in all took over a democratic state in near financial ruin and turn it into a positive while balancing the budget. Bet you cannot find a Democrat \who has balanced a budget and turned the economy into a positive.
I guess a little...but mostly afraid of the idiotic voters who would sing her praises but then be unable to offer a single accomplishment that would qualify her for the position.
My own democratic governor in CA has done precisely that, in fact. But I've yet to see any of you name a single prospect. Why is that? Are they that easily picked apart, and you just don't want to try to defend them?
I named accomplishments, David. Appointed positions, elected positions. You don't need a score sheet atop that. Yet you still refuse to answer a question any four year old could.
Ok, I think I'm following you... She's old, so she's qualified. She was born in the US, so she's qualified. She got elected to the Senate, so she's qualified. She got appointed to be SoS, so she's qualified. The fact she was ineffectual as a Senator doesn't matter? The fact that her term as SoS was was a failed one, doesn't matter? What about her support (and lobbying efforts) for the war in Iraq? How does that figure in to your side?
I did not realize that high unemployment and people leaving the state for jobs were indicative of a booming economy. And then there is this; http://www.sacbee.com/2014/03/30/6279200/dan-walters-california-budget.html
