Although, when hate speech says the hateful things you agree with, I suppose you tend to see it as "free speech". How convenient for you! Even the First Amendment has limits. Stop defending vile hate speech with a venerable document that never intended to support hate and division. You just come off as an racist ASSHOLE.
The Supreme Court has ruled that certain categories of speech are excluded from constitutional protection, such as a threat or "fighting words." Sometimes, speech can be both a threat and hate speech, in which case it would not necessarily have First Amendment protection.
I'm not talking about threats or "fighting words" whatever that is. I'm talking about Constitutionally-protected speech that others like you deem so-called "hate speech" which is, basically, anything you don't want to hear.
By most people's definition of "hate speech", it absolutely is free speech. I have every right in the world to call OJ Simpson a nigger. Just as you have every right to call me "fringe Right wing, redneck, old white curmudgeon". What you don't have the right to say are things like "Fry 'm like bacon", "I'd burn down the capitol building", etc.
The problem with the asshole liberals in Berkeley is that they didn't even give Milo a chance to speak. They used Nazi-like tactics to shut him down. Yet, they claim to be the birthplace of free speech. No, free speech is dead in Berkeley thanks to freedom-hating liberals. Is anyone surprised?? Actually, free speech wasn't born in Berkeley.
