I didn't say that it did. I said that the Defense Department spends more money on things considered social programs by "left-wing nut jobs" (your words) like you than any other organization in the United States. Unless you don't think supporting schools, playgrounds, low cost food, and post-secondary education are social programs. I which case I would like to hear what you do in fact consider appropriate social spending.

 

Also health care, gyms, pools, daycare, housing, dining halls, etc.

I didn't think you seriously wanted an answer, in other words, due to your tenuous grasp of the English language and it's various accepted uses, I thought it was a rhetorical question. Really don't know how to answer it though. The various organizations that help veterans in any number of ways seem to be quite needed by many veterans, except you of course. Best answer I can give.

Which part of this answer is confusing you ???? Think about your "statement"/"question" for a minute. Some veterans need assistance some don't. Some need a lot of assistance and don't recognize it until they are divorced, isolated, alcoholics, with nothing but anger for a friend. I assume the stress of being apart from family, friends, support systems, and being in the middle of a life threatening situation takes it's toll on some soldiers. I think there is very little doubt that this happens to more than a few soldiers. That is why I "assume" that some veterans need help. I'm sure you won't accept this answer but it is all you are getting because I just can't put it in any simpler terms. It is a reasonable assumption in my opinion.

Do you think the soldiers that killed an Iraqi family and raped and killed their teenager daughter may have needed help that they just didn't receive before they committed this heinous crime? Or could they take care of themselves? I'm sure soldiers can do no wrong in your eyes and you will defend their actions to the last. You really are a true believer there cowboy.
