Do languages other than English offend you?

Nope . . . Hablo Espanol poco.

I think it's great for everyone to know more languages than fewer. However, I do expect citizens of, and immigrants to the United States to know how to read, write and speak English.

 

I am beginning to see a pattern with you, Crydaddy. You actively seek out inflammatory topics, don’t you? You aren’t in this to work out any solutions to any problems. You are here picking fights. There are always those people that are paranoid when they hear others speaking a language that they don't understand. It speaks both to their own ignorance for not knowing another language and it speaks to their sense of nativism which is just a defense of their ignorance in the first place.

If they were ever to relate the story of how they went off on some other person for speaking a different language, they wouldn't come off looking too good. You just can't defend your own ignorance and come out smelling like a rose.
