We can all hope. Unfortunately, when a body is completely riddled with cancer it's only a matter of months left... It will be all over by this time next year. Things are going on that we are not being told. Do you know how mch food and material is stacking up in CA and not being shipped? Do you know that my Wells Fargo Bank is limiting withdrawals to $1000 and our banks are going digital soon?

The war brought on by teachers has always seemed so asinine to me.

My stepmom lamented the emphasis of the new leadership in the local school system . . . How it promoted union membership, tolerated the 8 to 3 mentality, suppressed the pursuit and recognition of excellence, and steered control of the school system around involved parents.

What made my stepmom enough of an authority to deliver such criticism?

She was the gym teacher, the music teacher and the librarian in that same elementary school, was loved by the schoolchildren, made achievement fun and recognizable, and was shunned by the union members. Under pressure to change or leave, she long-weathered the lack of common sense and cooperation for the benefit of the kids, but held out only as long as it took for the youngest of her own kids to graduate.

Those inexperienced know-it-all teachers who played union ball at the expense of their students would have done well to heed her methods and recommendations. Unfortunately for the kids, they didn’t, and today’s product shows the results.

Yeah yeah, that's what your parents said about your generation and their parents said of them. For as long as there has been education in America there's been accusations of "indoctrination by radical teachers" going on.

Not in such widespread fashion . . . and I reiterate . . . it shows. Even the SAT had to be redesigned to prevent disclosure of the radical decline in effectiveness of our educational system.

You can actually blame capitalism for that one. The SAT is frequently redesigned (around every 10 years). College Board makes it easier so more students choose to take it and they get more money.

Oh, now that makes perfect sense to me . . . NOT.

The easier the test is to do well on, the fewer times students will take it in attempts to get better scores.

Gene, you are too young and far too ignorant to comment on the American Education System!

What you have posted is your typical monkey crap! THERE WERE NO COMMIE TEACHERS!

    HOWEVER, THERE WERE
    QUEER TEACHERS (
I discovered later I had two of them) BUT NO ONE KNEW IT AT THE TIME! That's because commies and queers were DIRTY OUTCASTS and not tolerated in a civilized, moral, patriotic, American society!

    Additionally,
when the informed, intelligent, older posters here were educated, MARXIST, DEMOCRAT, INDOCTRINATION DID NOT EXIST IN SCHOOL!

Anyone looking at this and thinking President Trump comes out STRONGER is either delusional or lying to save face.

Maybe in the most hardcore Republican base - a base which sees the fmr. President victimized and wants to stand behind him.

In a general election, it is clear that this will hurt him.

If you still stand behind President Trump in the upcoming primaries - you will be the one defending a criminal... just like the Hillary fanatics.

DESANTIS. For the sake of our nation, vote for DESANTIS!

Who do you think votes in the primary? Hate to say it but Trump's a shoo-in for the nom.

I don't see it that way. While I don't yet know who I'm voting for in the primary, it certainly isn't Trump.

The democrat swamp has succeeded in tarnishing Trump enough and scaring away many former supporters. The swamp plus the democrat media and ground game elected Biden and that other Senate vegetable from PA. They could get a dead and rotted ass elected. Our corrupt media keeps voters ignorant. This election will be tough for any Republican to win.

I think you're wrong . . . this election should be easy for any Republican to win, as long as the Republican nominee is not Trump, and the Democrat's nominee is Biden.

That's what we all thought the last 2 elections. The mid terms should have been a red wave of radiation destroying the democrat cancer but it fizzled. The fix is in! After they turn Texas blue there will never again be a Republican POTUS and before that the USA as we know it will have been destroyed so it does not matter about Texas after all.

Just the facts, please . . . from the linked webpage:

What If I Reach My ATM Withdrawal Limit But Still Need Cash?
If you need cash for a large purchase, you may need more than your ATM withdrawal limit allows. Here are other ways to get the money you need in a pinch.

    • Visit a Wells Fargo branch. If you reach your daily ATM limit, you can visit a Wells Fargo branch to withdraw additional funds from your account up to your available balance. Note that this is only possible if you go during regular business hours.
    • Get cash back at checkout. Another way to get around the daily withdrawal limit is by taking out cash at a retail store during checkout. Cash-back withdrawals typically don’t count towards your daily limit, though rules vary by bank.
    • Withdraw cash from another account. If you’ve reached the withdrawal limit on your checking account, try taking funds from your savings or money market account since these accounts have their own withdrawal limits. Most savings accounts don’t come with debit cards, so you’ll need to visit a branch during business hours to withdraw cash.

FACT: Note on my bank's front door. Withdrawals limited to $1000.

Guess: By X-mas we will all be forced on to digital currency by our banks. :(

Does your bank’s ATM happen to be just inside the front door?

Maybe, but I think that will be wildly unpopular with many Americans.

Older ones, but I like many millennials and younger haven't used cash in years. Even for things you'd think need to be cash for safety reasons. I remember friends in college years ago buying weed with digital transfers and putting something like "pizza money" in the notes.

You write that as if we older folks have no experience with cashless transactions. Who better to evaluate the efficacy of digital-only currency than those who have lived with both? I don't mean experienced a little of both, but really lived both. I've lived a pretty even balance of cash and cashless transactions for at least the past 20 years, and have multiple perspectives on each.

Empowering our government to surveil and intervene in our transactions is to surrender yet another level of our freedom. I side with @What U ignore on this issue. It is merely an apparent misstatement of his with which I disagree, and I may be wrong about that statement, but I suspect not.

Allowing our government ANY decision on what we may or may not do with out money is too much to surrender. It does not have that power today, and it shall not going forward.

    Off to work . . .

I'm thinking the new $600.00 1099-K rule at the federal level and Wayfair v South Dakota at the State and local level puts a little kink in the pizza money scheme.
