It is definitely a liberal thing to
apply the law how you want and when you want.

I'm aware a post of yours was deleted from another thread (by yours truly), and some posts have been edited (same again), all to remove offensive language.

The post you seem to refer to into this thread - "How is it suddenly a liberal thing to get fraudsters? Are you OK with his his cats? Simple yes or no" - was not edited, and certainly not by another member.

    Anything else?

What happened in #'s 17 18 & 19 if I was not mis quoted and you were not editing? You can't even cover your tracks properly you lousy scum.

You were definitely not misquoted. Since those old posts appear to have been archived, I cannot make that deleted post visible publicly, but I did temporarily resurrect it in my post so you could see it, and see it you did.

Regarding edits, at the bottom of every post are indications of what can be / has been done. I’m assuming that all members can see that status line, and not just the moderator.

See posts 25 & 26 above ? See how post 25 shows Edit History Delete IP and Report in blue characters, and last edit date / time in gray to the right? See how post 26 doesn’t show History in blue or any indication of last edit? That means post 25 has been edited and 26 has not (edit: not as of 12:30am 2/26/24, anyway).

Now, go back and visit posts 117, 118 & 119 ( not 17, 18 & 19) in the subject thread and observe that none of them have any edit history. I didn’t edit what you claim I did.

Now, go pound sand @freshmeat . . . "You lousy scum".

    New target acquired.

    https://www.wsj.com/business/new-yo...-climate-claims-e900f75d?mod=latest_headlines

"New York’s top lawyer is taking on JBS, alleging that the world’s largest meatpacker lied about its impact on the environment to win over climate-conscious customers.

New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the Brazilian giant’s U.S. division—saying that JBS misled consumers with its climate goals, including its plan to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, to boost sales. If found liable, the company could be fined $5,000 per violation and required to pay back any profits made from past sustainability claims found to be false."

Deflection from the serious issues that require immediate attention in this Federal Republic, and the World...Free and not free.

This is not helpful, but is useful to those that prefer this type of baloney social justice menu (otherwise known as Democrats) aligned just in time for the...whoodathunk (savvy Mopar?)..... Election season.

I hate resurrecting old threads, but this is just too good to pass up.

It was announced today that Letitia James violated President Trump’s Eighth Amendment rights and the monetary penalty $500M (including interest) has been vacated.

I wish @freshmeat were still around to respond to this. On second thought, no, I’m glad he’s gone.

This case goes to show that you can’t simply try a person in court based simply on hatred. That is EXACTLY what Letitia did and it has backfired tremendously. With her mortgage fraud case front and center and the possibility of a civil case brought by Trump against her for deprivation of rights, this is looking like a bad stretch for Letitia.

It’s going to be funny as hell to see her hoisted on her own petard.

    .... ya gotta love it:

Judge who fined Trump $500M gets the books thrown at him

Judge Engoron failed to preserve a single dollar of his original fine against President Trump

    August 21, 2025

In New York, a court revealed that a leading citizen had cooked the books by inflating questionable figures without any support in reality. Moreover, his wild overvaluation was widely viewed as motivated by his self-aggrandizement. The final reported figures are so absurdly inflated that they were rejected in their entirety. In the end, he was off by over half a billion dollars.

That man is Judge Arthur Engoron.

After a New York appellate court unanimously threw out Engoron's absurd half-a-billion-dollar judgment and interest against President Donald Trump, the irony was crushing. It was Engoron who seemed, as he characterized Trump witnesses, as having "simply denied reality." It made his notorious reliance on an assessment of Mar-a-Lago as worth between $18 million and $27.6 million seem like good accounting.

In the end, he could not get a single judge to preserve a single dollar of that fine.

For some of us who covered that trial, the most vivid image of Engoron came at the start. He indicated that he did not want cameras in the courtroom, but when the networks showed up, Engoron took off his glasses and seemed to pose for the cameras.

It was a "Sunset Boulevard" moment. We only need Gloria Swanson looking into the camera to speak to "those wonderful people out there in the dark!" and announcing "all right, [Ms. James], I'm ready for my close-up."

The close-up was not a good idea, and, on appeal, it was perfectly disastrous. The court found little legal or factual basis for his fine. The purported witnesses not only did not lose a dime, but they testified that they made money on the loans and wanted new loans with the Trump administration. That did not move Engoron. From the start, he was speaking to those "wonderful people out there."

You did not have to go far. In both the civil and criminal trials of Trump in New York, there was a carnival atmosphere in the street outside the courthouse. It was really not derangement as much as delirium. Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James had injected lawfare directly into the veins of New Yorkers. Pledging in her campaign to bag Trump (without bothering to name any crime or violation), James was elected based on her recreational rather than legal appeal.

You were right on target when you said this, TC. It only took 18 months for your prediction to come true. That ain't a bad timeframe considering the world of politics and kangaroo courts.
