Funny, I've never heard O'Reilly or Hannity glorify killing police, abusing women, committing crimes or espousing violence...I think there is a difference here. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for freedom of speech and don't think even the most vile rappers should be censored but I also don't think it's a fair comparison political speech vs. rap music.
Fair enough...but he is still blaming the words of one for the actions of others. The varying degrees are a moot point as you say, in the end, they are free to say what they wish....Whether it be someone vilifying a whole group of people (liberals) for the ills of America every day in the harshest terms or a rapper spouting all the crap they spout...both could make an unstable, impressionable, disturbed person act out. Both cases the person who acts out is to blame. Rock is not much better than rap. Without doubt there are songs that glorify sex, the objectification of women, drug use and abuse, killing, crime, suicide, and most other things...spawned the common phrase sex, drugs, and rock and roll. I have been listening to such things since I was a kid. I also watch violent movies, I have played violent video games...but I have never acted these things out in the real world...nor will I ever.
