Like everything these days, the launch control panel in my pickup hooks up to my phone when I go anywhere. That panel always brings up a map with the destination it believes I am headed to and I am sure it learns by repetition. But here's the odd thing.... It will call out the assumed destinations by name; my office, Starbucks, Walgreens... Wherever it thinks I am going..... Now every Sunday morning and Wednesday afternoon I drive to my church. Oddly, it knows where I am going but it won't call out my church by name. Only by the church address... And even funnier is that the road is even named after my church. I wonder if that is intentional?
I am by no means Jeff The Science Guy, but I am wondering if the location...the Church....has GPS and WIFI, that is linked to Google, or if it does, is it not activated or does somehow Google algorithms not recognize, because it may be some android app, or some type of Bluetooth on/off thing. I wonder if you can do this yourself, maybe through your cell phone/Bluetooth thingy. Best advice an electronics geek ever gave me was if it doesn't work right, BOBO...Button Off button On. I remember a conversation a year or so ago when an acquaintance doing a Vatican walking tour, the app didn't recognize his location as St. Peters, but recognized a restaurant a block away. He told me he blahblahed the Bluetooth wizard wand activation program on his app and blahblahblah (I was mentally punching his face ) but I don't know anything about that stuff and don't have a cell phone.
Hey MD, I know you don't like bein' distracted by these failures to acknowledge but, just because you don't want this stuff t'bother you all the time, don't go havin' a Atheism.
