I'm actually struggling to think of something we could study in transgender persons that wouldn't also have implications for cisgender people. Which is a big part of what makes this line of reasoning so dumb.
White house listed them. This isn't "making mice transgender" it's testing the effects of hormone therapy. Which isn't even necessarily restricted to those taking supplements, it can inform on those with hormone disorders as well. https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles...t-millions-on-transgender-animal-experiments/
Clown, BULLSHIT. The REAL STORY AND REASON: Hopkins manages a Maryland Medicaid Program. Over the years, it has been a less than stellar Healthcare Insurance vehicle. Patients are required to obtain Referrals for Specialists and that is not usually granted. Hopkins are not smiley faced lovey-dovey toward Providers (Physicians/Lab/PT/Specialty) when a different hospital system within the State is utilized and accidently on purpose plays shenanaganigans with payment and that has led to some classic battles. The absolute most egregious offense is the Credentialing process for Physicians. Never mind the Physician is fully licensed in the Federal and State System and Board Certified. Never mind the Physician is Medicare and State Medicaid approved. Hopkins plays Favorites Chess at a whole new level...not accepting so and so Board (yet State and Federal Programs do....EVEN WHEN THE BOARD IS ONE OF THE APPROVED BOARDS ON THE HOPKINS QUALIFICATIONS LIST)....and many other sleight of hand krap. Well, the State finally had enough, and this past week suspended the Hopkins State Medicaid Program known as : PRIORITY PARTNERS...AGAIN...PRIORITY PARTNERS! Any Priority Partners Patient has 60 days to select another State Medicaid Program....BCBS/UNITED/MARYLAND PHYSICIANS CARE(MPC IS OUTSTANDING, BTW) WELLCARE/ETC. The Hopkins Program is terminated. The reason: repetitive failure of the State Physician Credentialing Program (and THAT is the short version of what it means). All Medicare-Medicaid Grant Programs are affected- meaning no more freebee Wampum for you. I think the Hopkins survivor after this is Wilmer Eye, and that is a good thing. See how things work, Clown? There is always a "...WAIT A MINUTE..." questioning period to such titillating stories that occur when a member of the Ideology Of Division Religion...YOU....manipulates (as you continuously do) to serve their religion's goals, which has been the same for the last 8 years and 2 months: GET TRUMP. BTW, CLOWN: I KNOW STUFF... A LOT OF STUFF. Truth in editing: added the word " plays" in place of "palsy" although that would have fit, given the subject, and added one of these"(". Give me a break, Ok? It was a long Gotcha, Clown response. Going to get some warm Bosco now.
Maybe? However if you could learn anything from about the causes it would still be good for everyone. Though I suspect that particular overlap is more environmental. Turns out that being hated by society for existing is depressing.
Good. Your suffering only needs a Prescription for Xanax. .5 MG should help, to start. Get it, it may also improve your tendency toward a mental Ideology Of Division. Maybe, just maybe it will be cured, and you no longer will have to suffer the sadness of Liberal Democrat and Socialist tendencies that plague you.
Yourself included. I've seen no serious attempt at uncovering an inability to cope with reality before resorting to a sex change in a desperate effort to be accepted by someone . . . anyone . . . at any cost. Written as if they didn't feel that way before transitioning!
Flirting with disaster…. Seems apropos considering the direction we were headed. Insolvency is quite simply more going out than you have coming in. The fed has played that game so long that our dollar is in danger of becoming Monopoly money. And you can stack your Monopoly money a mile high and you still won’t be able to fund a single shrimp on a treadmill…… This generation needs a serious lesson in living within your means.
Good thing education seems to be returning to local control again. Those central planners really screwed things up!
By cutting out the backbone of American innovation? This is simply a culture war on education. How's that economy doing these days?
The backbone of American innovation . . . Preposterous! American innovation has thrived in the United States since the birth of this nation. You act as if innovation was born with the introduction of the National Science Foundation in 1950, yet that was merely a shot in the arm that better served the university system than it did The People. The backbone of American innovation is not the fatty, over-lauded, over-funded university research system. Has NSF funding fostered some great innovations? Sure. Is it responsible for the vast majority of American Innovation? Hardly. American Innovation, taken in its totality . . . including the products of tirelessly-enthused-hobbyists, of profit-motivated-inventors, and of necessity-driven solution-seekers dwarfs the documented successes of collegiate research partnerships. This notion you have that higher education makes America great was imbued in you by your university-system-beholden family. The university system takes far more credit than it deserves. It is a self-aggrandizing organism that feeds itself upon the beliefs / hopes of too many young and inexperienced who don't yet understand their gifts and / or their limitations. There are those whose thirst to learn, combined with the effort to follow through, is enough to deliver them the same results the university can at far less cost. There are also those who, less intellectually curious and / or less energetic, will blindly allow the university to bury them in an underachieving lifetime of college debt. The backbone of American Innovation is the desire and energy to create that which has not been created . . . that has precious little to do with the NSF. The NSF can be both a blessing and a waste at the same time. Don't give it credit for being all one and none of the other.
Hah, i knew you'd take offense to that. We put our eggs in the basket of publicly funding innovation, now we're taking a wrecking ball to those institutions. We have the best research systems on earth, and we're tossing it into the wind. There's not a single modern industry or innovation that didn't benefit from publicly funded research. It will grind to a halt if this administration continues.
There's not a single person on the Earth whose education wasn't built on the knowledge of someone who wasn't a paid educator . . . Two can play that game.
You know, I've not actually been talking about education in this thread. Certainly not undergraduate education. Your reactions are really enhancing the "culture war on education" theory though. Also not sure why you got fixated on NSF a couple posts ago. What's that about?
Seems to me that you brought it up . . . "This is simply a culture war on education." I figured I'd preemptively beat you to claiming some distorted nonsense like, "There's not a single modern industry or innovation that didn't benefit from publicly funded research." Almost all federal grants to universities are issued through the NIH and NSF. The NIH is already in the crosshairs, and I fully expect the NSF will be next. I'm not necessarily saying neither should exist, but the cancer in both should definitely be excised.
Yes, I was suggesting scientific research is being used as a roundabout way to attack higher education, which you basically seem to confirm in your response. There's a lot of rigor and oversight into how the incredibly competitive NIH grants are distributed. As such, it's an easy vector for attack because there are so many steps to approval. They don't need to cancel grants outright if they simply say "study sections can't meet right now" Since those meetings are necessary for awarding grants, no grants get awarded. They never actually have to "cancel" anything. It's also not a refined approach, it's very broad and sloppy (characteristic of this administration). Thus institutions that rely on this funding are suddenly and drastically cut off, leaving damage in their wake that can't be fixed by simply turning the money back on.
Baloney, Clown. Maybe return to CONUS. That will be a reset that will improve your supposed "depression' (which of course isn't and is simply Ideology Of Division to maintain the disaster of free stuff Movement).
"WE"? Always the fallback of Identity Crisis retort that the Ideology Of Division employs, in an attempt to justify and intimate that continuing the Ideology Of Free Stuff is the choice of the People.
