I am a supporter of the current administration and had expected to see some relief in out deficit considering the aggressive DOGE cuts. That has not been the case. I have long been a believer that using somebody else’s money is only acceptable in the short term. My family’s and my business finances are aggressively managed that way.

    As of today:
    US Debt 37.9 Trillion
US deficit 1.8 Trillion and includes an 8 billion increase.

We cannot continue to spend our great grandkids money. My voice is tiny and this is my only platform. But we absolutely must reign in this spending. Absolutely nothing good can come from it.

We need a national referendum on forcing Congress to limit the budget to revenue actually received.

    I know, I know . . . you can't know how much revenue you'll have until you've collected it.

I have what I think is a terrific idea.

    The details? . . . just ask!

And now Trump's trying to get legal fee reimbursements from when he was out of office to the tune of a quarter billion dollars. Never wanna hear again "but he doesn't take a salary"

How in the world do you equate salary for time serving in office with reimbursements for defending himself in Kangaroo Court ?

Both are taxpayer dollars. Sorry if I'm not impressed he gives up the relative pittance of a salary.

I bring it up at all because this thread is about government spending, and here he is trying to extract a quarter billion taxpayer dollars.

If this thread is about government spending and suddenly you're concerned about government spending, I'd like to ask you how you feel about all the government spending on the Jan. 6 sham committee, the Jack Smith sham investigation, the FBI spending untold millions on their sham Crossfire Hurricane investigation (remember Russia! Russia! Russia!) and the government spending on their sham lawfare that was thrown at President Trump. Hmmmmmmm???

Well, the guy’s entitled to pursue reimbursement for unjust prosecution.

I certainly don’t like the fact that any reimbursement would come from the federal coffers, but you, as a cheerleader for Jack Smith and Company should have absolutely no voice in the matter.

Personally, I think the money should come from the DNC instead . . .
