Congressional Perks: Luxury Cars and Mileage Result in Big Costs for Taxpayers

I am not internet savvy enough to attach the story. This is the headline..... And this one leans as much right as it does left and I am sick to death of it. House members are allowed a maximum of $1000.00 a month to lease a vehicle AND have mileage reimbursed. Most lawmakers report $999.00 a month leases. What are you leasing? Ferrari's?? One Oklahoma Republican lawmaker turned in 131k for mileage.... My dear Lord.... I know how I track mileage expense in my office that my salesmen turn in. Being that these self-important and overly entitled lawmakers work for me then perhaps I can demand that they report their mileage logs to me for approval before they take reimbursement checks that are more than most Americans earn in an entire year!!

Lawmakers... Spend my money the way my family spends my money! Every damn one of you needs a thriftiness 101 class. It is obtuse and arrogant to spend my hard earned money so frivolously and I demand an end to it! I am up to here with lawmakers spending my money like sailors on weekend shore leave and it doesn't get near enough media attention. By golly I will point it out every chance I get.
