This goes back a ways. Suffice it to say, one looks at issues a bit differently the more one has at stake. I would take more risk if I were gambling with someone else's money rather than my own, know what I mean?
I never implied he didn't have a right to speak his mind, simply that some comments he made need to be viewed in the proper context.

I would respectfully disagree , id say any British citizen has a right to concern him or herself with the US presidency and the running of matters.
As shown over the past 8 years for instance the UK is affected very much by a Presidents decisions.
The British have just as much at stake as any American.

Concern? Okay. But as much at stake over our Presidential race? Quite a stretch.

Its no stretch at all , whoever is in the Whitehouse making decisions is going to directly affect the UK , so wheres the stretch if i might ask ?

Answer me this David which country has been the only one to back America's plays continualy? and I have mates still in the services who put there lives on the line daily as much for you as me, I also have freinds in the Australian and New Zeland armed forces. So yes I have as much invested interest as to who runs your country.
My country has been attacked by Islamic fanatics because we backed America do you hear me moaning about that? NO yet you dont think a citizen of your best allie has a right to voice concerns on a open forum LOL some believer in democracy you are
Your economic policies directly affect this country on a daily basis, through ties with the moter industry, Insurance companies, Morgage lenders and it goes on and on, so again I have a interest in who runs your country and his policies.
You might not like the idea that a forigner can understand your political system but hey you will have to live with it. Perhaps you might also like to take umbridge with me collecting Baseball cards and understanding that as well :D
Now as for gambling with someone elses money I would treat it like it was my own, that is the difference between us, I have respect for the views and rights of other people you seem to lack it.
You have stated on a number of occasions that I dont know what I am talking about do you want to deny that one as well?

Right before i moved to the US i was visiting Wales at least once a month from Scotland.Sometimes fly into Cardiff and sometimes use Virgin rail , what a fantastic time warp trip the train is , i loved it.
Cwymbran ..please excuse spelling hahahha like anyone could emulate the welsh at spelling :)

Where have I heard that Welsh is one of the worst languages to learn? It would figure it would be right next door to English though. I hate English, knowing a couple of other languages where in my opinion it is easier to communicate, English is a pain to express thoughts in.

I think the Welsh are just having a laugh at the worlds expense , like a mad typist attacking a keyboard sfjvfvfjv' yup , thats what we'll call this area and that area can be dchjdcgcvxgc , thats fine , now about the train station , lets call that fjvbfdvkf and break for lunch.

Well put Jake and anyone in the states should be able to understand it. What happens here has a HELL of a lot to do with what goes on over there. There being ANYWHERE but here if that makes any sense.

If they can't figure that out they are truly morons.

There is no doubt that what happens in the US (and what our President does or does not do) affects the rest of the world. And certainly some countries, like the UK, it affects more than others because of our very close ties.

Hell yes what happens here in the USA affects Great Britain. There were many assertions during the Bush reign, that Tony Blair was even starting to look a bit more like Bush...

Can you imagine Gordon becoming more Obamaish?:D

I know people who have lived in my area their entire lives and have never been to a city that's 50 miles away! They don't know how to get there off hand. They don't know what's going on there. How would many Americans know whats going on at Guantanamo bay? Who knows what kinds of games this administration will stage for the press?
................................................................................Thats sounds like a Republican base to me.

I know people here that have never been out of that 50 mile radius, which is frankly stunning. I have travelled all over the world, and all over the USA. These "limited" individuals are the silent majority though.
