David do you actualy know what the meaning of the word Mandate is? well here is what the dictionary says (And I do believe that Obama has the right to use the phrase)

In politics, a mandate is the authority granted by an electorate to act as its representative. Elections, especially ones with a large margin of victory, are often said to give the newly elected government or elected official a mandate to implement certain policies. Also the period a government serves between elections is often referred to as a mandate and when the government seeks re-election it is said to be seeking a "new mandate".


What you refer to when you say 75%/25% or even 52.9%/47.1% is in fact a majority decision which is something entierly different.

Yet both sets of figures say that more Americans voted for him than against him so he has both a majority and a mandate.

 

Never he wasn't my President, but you knew that didn't you. Heck, I'll even say it: Obama is my President & for the sake of our country I hope he is successful in getting us going again. BUT...when he is wrong about something, I have the right to say so, don't I? You can follow him like a lemming right off the edge of the earth if you choose to. I prefer to dig a little deeper.

 

The lemming was the one that led us for eight successive years, with a priority on "democratizing" the Middle Beast in SW Asia. Hundreds of billions of dollars, and 4000+ American lives for zilch.

The lemmings were the intellectually deficient types that voted for their kind, not once, but twice like Davie did.

As for your being able to voice your concerns and disagreeing when you feel something is wrong, OF COURSE you have that right David. Called being an American 101. Whether or not we agree we DO STILL have that right don't we?

This is where you and I are so different. To me it's a case of "it's broke let's try and fix it" and to you it's a case of "it's broke let's try the same old crap that failed before to fix it".

IMHO you'd LOVE to see Obama fail. What you're tossing up is nothing but a smokescreen.

and now as a "complicitor" I'd like to address this comment.

Now I'm going to say the "you" is "me" so it's "me and Obama". Yeah, we're tight. I call him B baby (BB for short).

So me and BB are talking the other day and he says "yo clembo what up with David?"
I say "well you know BB he's still fighting the election and talks about digging holes. He's been digging this hole since well BEFORE the election you know but he keeps digging it."

Then we do a fist bump and go play some basketball. He kicked my butt! I can beat him in a hockey game though.

Bottom line here is that when you talk about people digging holes deeper you should look in the mirror. Your constant flow of hate toward our President even BEFORE he was President is one hell of an indicator.

If Obama fails he fails and I'll live with it. If he succeeds will you be able to? I sincerely hope he does succeed because we NEED IT TO HAPPEN. If he doesn't another Republican in 4 years will face even worse times if we make it that far.
At this point NO Republican has really even had enough balls to step to the plate.
