Shoes thrown to protest Bush in Canada

Three Canadians were arrested and others threw shoes in protest against George W. Bush on Tuesday when he gave his first post-presidential speech in western Canada`s oil patch.

OTTAWA - The footwear was tossed at an effigy of the 43rd US president outside a Calgary conference center where Bush was to speak to some 1,500 people at a luncheon, said Colette Lemieux of the Canadian Peace Alliance.

How wimpy do you have to be to throw shoes at an 'effigy' of someone! At least the guy who did it originally had some stones to go with his shoes. lol

A shoe was thrown at Israel’s Ambassador to Sweden, Mr. Benny Dagan, when
He was giving a speech at Stockholm University today. The shoe hit its target. It was followed by two books and a note pad, all hitting the severely embarrassed ambassador.
The two protesters, a young woman and a young man, shouted “Murderers!” And “Intifada!” while pelting Dagan with the objects. They are currently under arrest, suspected of assault and public disturbance.
