It's stuff like this that has driven me away from the Republican party. Not, mind you, that I've embraced the Democrats, but I don't know how anyone in good conscience can remain a registered Republican when stuff like this goes on inside the party, apparently with the blessings of the Republican leadership.

I don't care if you approve of Obama's policies, or not, but praying for anyone to die isn't even Christian, and should have no place within the Republican party, whatsoever. To pray for anyone to die is just wrong. Period.

If I was around in the late 30's and early 40's; I would pray for Hitler to die. The guy doesnt like Obama I guess. And if the Pope's prayers for peace go unanswered, I dont think this idiot's prayer will be heeded by God anytime soon.

So let me be the first to ask: Why did you title this thread "Republicans go to church to pray for Obama's death"?
This guy is using a church as a front, there was no mention of his political affiliation or of him having support of any Republicans or did I miss it?

I denounce this stupid sort of thing. And, I thought, the Repos were pro life, why would you call someone a Repo who preys for death of another?

Just another wackjob like Reverend Wright, they dont stand for everybody, just the most far tilted radicals, not the majority.

Yes, this happened in Phoenix and the BLACK guy ( MSNBC tried to trick you into thinking he was white ) with tha AR-15 at the McCain rally is a member of the church. NOt a member of my party or stands for anything I believe in for sure.

Heck, maybe he is a Republican..who knows...he can call himself anything he wants. My problem is with the the implication of the title of this thread. I was expecting to read about Michael Steele, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, etc holding some sort of meeting in DC calling for Obama's head not some whacko pretending to be a follower of Christ.

The best response I've read yet.

You didn't miss anything on this David. You are correct as far as I know.

Now it starts to get interesting. Wright is indeed a whack job and Obama was a long time member of his church. The Repos have used this point again and again.
I think it would be fair to assume that they also view (or portray) members of the congregration as Democratic followers.
Not really any different than the title of this thread might portray someone as a Republican.

I have to ask how MSNBC tried to trick people into thinking a black guy was white and why would I care? Wrong is wrong.

I have "declared" myself as both Whig and Bull Moose in primaries then been told I can't do that. I ask them why and they can't explain.

With all due respect he could be the next "Messiah" now couldn't he? Okay, I'm being sarcastic. Point is this crap is going on in more than one church, one religion, one way of belief.

I choose not to attend church but if I did this is a church with a simple solution be you Republican, Democrat or any other political view. LEAVE THE CHURCH.

One could argue that this church should not receive any tax benefits for political views. Of course if we start doing that we'd see a lot of churches going under. This would not bother me honestly.

The way I understand it people go to church to worship their God(s) not political figures. I don't understand that going to church is a place to "fight" the "political demons" in the name of "God(s).

To me a preacher should "lead the flock" as it were. Not with political views or malice. Here I was led to believe these people devoted their lives to save individuals not distort and destroy them.

    Guess I was wrong.

this thread topic is VERY MISLEADING! and as such to make it equal and balanced

if this church is some sort of Republican "thing" and speaks for what republicans want. = Then rev. wright speaks solely for what democrats want.
