A super secret agency to avoid? Now I got your point, if only you would explain yourself a little better.

The people that want to come in legally? Of course, that's the way it should be no doubt about it. My point is that the laws are so messed up that by sending everyone back (specially in this times) would only mess up the economy that much more IMO.

Laws should be applied to the illegals who are in good standing, work, pay takes and speak the language. If the person doesn't meet those requirements, then ship them out priority but to profile individuals and harass citizens because of the way they look or language they speak is republidumb.

I never said we should send anybody back, I just want to stop the illegals from coming in the first place.

The super secret agency was in response to TomCorona who has claimed that a bully corporation forced him to publicly admit that he no longer believes in the 9/11 truther conspiracy theory.

Oh, ok. I still believe that sending back people who don't meet certain criteria should though but give a better opportunity to those who are in good standing.

I will leave it at that sense I am not a good political debater...LOL

well I guess if meth addicts get a big enough lobby we can stop enforcing drug laws as well. why have laws on the books and tell people you cant enforce them......ridiculous

Yeah..right! That would be the logical conclusion to draw from this situation. :(

So, tell us again why AZ shouldn't be allowed to pass & enforce laws pertaing to their border with a foreign country...keeping in mind the law mirrors the Federal law that BO isn't willing to enforce on a national level?

Well one reason I would put foreward is that International law is the remit of central (Fedral) goverment (border control certainly falls under that catagory) and not local

Yea I know its an over exaggeration, but the situation the way I see it is the current admin is willing to let the American
people of Arizona suffer with drug/people smugglers wreaking havoc on their state because they don't want to upset the mexican government/illegal imigrants rights lobby. Lets not forget the people they want to arrest have committed a crime no matter how minor you think it is...Try telling a cop not to give you a speeding ticket next time you get pulled over because you are a "hard worker and want a better life" The federal law is just that, a law...they should enforce it.

And I'm sure the people of AZ would be fine with this theory if the feds did more to enforce the laws than put up signs saying DANGER DRUG TRAFFICKING

Here is my solution to the problem. Let's round up everyone who disagrees with the Arizona law and force them to live within 5 miles of the Arizona-Mexico border for 1 month. Once all the naysayers have had their turn, I am sure our country will have a unified immigration policy and the appropriate funds to enforce it.

BTW Moen, exactly how many illegals are in your state. You seem very opinionated for someone who is completely isolated from the negative effects of the problem.

Bigjpst The question asked by David was "why AZ shouldn't be allowed to pass & enforce laws pertaing to their border with a foreign country" I simply answerd that question without passing any kind of judgment as to if I agreed or not. I would also like to point out that it is not a theory but fact, the American Fedral Goverment controls Border control and International relations not individual states.

Ps Lehigh that is a good idea, as I have said before we over here realy must crack down on this problem and if it was left to me I would close the borders to all immigration till we sorted out those here illigaly.
Also as I have previously said I believe that any who are working not commiting crime and fitting into our society should be given the chance to become legal citizens all the rest ship them out

You are right I meant to say "in Theory" I was not trying to imply you were giving an opinion. I understand the responsibility of our borders fall under federal law, and if the government did what it was supposed to do, the people of AZ would not need this Law, or the government may actually encourage the help. Unfortunately the governments position is more political and feels that if they choose to not enforce the law, no matter how much it harms the state/country, then AZ can't either.
And I also agree with your other statement. I feel that if someone is here working and trying to be a contributing member of our society they should get a chance to work towards citizenship, but the protestors here in LA and in AZ want citizenship with no conditions. That in my opinion would only open the doors for the next wave of Illegals willing to wait out the government for amnesty.

Or if enough burnouts rally to legalize pot, we can just corporatize it, or if enough of the elitists get together, we can throw out pesky legalities that interfere with capitalism.

Good idea...I like it. Similarly...let's round up all the stuffed shirts that routinely think raising minimum wage is a bad idea or thinks crapitalism, CEO bonuses, and outsourcing, downsizing, or in favor of extending tax cuts for the wealthiest 2%, and make them live with/on the misery they impose on others.

.....or let people make their own way in the world & live as they choose? Novel idea, I know but if people want to work hard & earn a good living why not let them? Conversely, if one is happy working a minimum wage job, more power to 'em. Just don't sieze the fruits of the hard workers labor to subsidize the guy who chooses a less responsible, less rewarding path.

Toe, I worked hard, studied hard & sacrificed in order to have the life I have for me & my family. It really doesn't sit well to know that you believe you are entitled to what I have. The only chance you would ever have to get a raise at work is if the left wingers decided it was time to raise the minimum wage? Try effort. Hard work & results are rewarded...you should give it a try.
You want more? Go earn it. You want a level playing field? Grab a shovel & start leveling.

Well I could use a shovel for the sh*t you fling.
Further...I don't believe you know what hard work really is. Smoke your cigar and take your two hour corporate lunch, then grab that pencil and hit that keyboard.

You want to talk about hard work? You're talking to someone who worked 2, sometimes 3 jobs to pay their own way through school. You're talking to someone who worked 80 hours a week, 7 days a week & travelled all over the world, on a minutes notice, to earn what I have now. I sacrificed a lot early in my career to get to where I am now & I don't regret a second of it. While you sitting in front of the tv doing who knows what or sleeping till noon I was making my way in this world, saving my money. Now, in my early 40's I am semi-retired and able to be there for my wife & daughters and able to furnish them with what they (need and sometimes with what they want) without ever having to ask the gov't or fellow citizens for someone else's share. I don't have to sit around & commiserate about how/why the playing field isn't level or some evil corporation is getting in my pocket or whatever else it is that you do on a daily basis.
So lecturing me about hardwork is really kinda silly, isn't it? For the record, I don't smoke & I can't afford to take a 2 hour lunch- if I did I couldn't get my work done in the 2 1/2 days I spend at work. How's that?

Two and a half days? That's rough. Fluff your pillow and pop some champagne.

No it's not tough- now. But it was and I worked hard to get to this point. Now, I get to reap the benefits. Why would I want to hand any of it off to you because you've chosen to be a slacker while I labored away?
