I guess the reason Sir Paul gets away with personal insults and I am edited is because the wealthy coin forum Gods are all in the same club. I don't see any red editing of the insults hurled towards me. If one can say that spitting on another person is ok to post, but pointing out that some miserable slob had his wife divorce him, which is true, is edited? Answer is because the forum rules are nothing more than a way to make it look like it actually is unbiased to attract traffic. Kinda like the Fox network...fair and.....yeah right... You can dish it out but you can't take it mentality. You ought to just quit calling this place public and rename it more accurately...like maybe....PRWE....Private Right Wing Elitists always welcome. Hey Paul. (You realy do need to check things out Tom before commenting, I have edited evenly but you get much more personal)
Now as for lehigh's solution to the holmless it has merit to many are simply allowed to drift, they become dependant on drink (mainly) or drugs a so called civilized society shoudnt allow this to happen. I have known police officers to arrest vagrants in winter on trumped up charges simply so they can be placed in prison for a few weeks during realy bad weather at least that way they get medical attention and food Ps I should once again point out that I actualy have to be on the forum to edit and I dont make it every day
What the hell are you talking about? What insults? Other than calling you a clown which is your nickname at this point, I have not hurled any insults. You were the one who started with the spitting conversation and you deserved everything you got. Why do you have to be such a baby and cry to the moderator? Suck it up, be a man! BTW, who is the miserable slob who's wife divorced him?
Ok. Lets put this to rest. David worked very very hard to get where he is today. He is proud of this accomplishment. And rightly so. He had two work 37 full time jobs to pay for college. Donning the yoke of the plow each day since he was seven years old before heading to school. His story is truly unique in America. Accolades and laurels to him. I never had to work hard. It came so easily to me. I was able to succed without much effort. Yep there were times when I accepted my Grandfather's generousity. But more often than not I eschewed his offers of help. Does not needing to try so hard make one less of an American or a man? I dont think so. David says his parents couldnt afford to send him to college. Does that imply that if they could he would have seized to offer? Thus making his tale of struggle untold? Christ the crap I read in here.
Oh goody, craigs back! Please check your facts. I never said I had "two" work 37 jobs, just 2 (and sometimes three if tuition was due or I had extra expenses). Why would you mock hard work, huh? And since you missed it, the reason for my post was to dispel Toe's comment about being privileged...not everyone who experinces success only does so because of a privileged upbringing. Any argument with that, craig? Now craig, we've been suggesting for quite some time that you keep up, can you try? Thanks.
You mean to say that you are unimpressed by the king of Ad Hominem? His name calling and childish monikers for those he doesn't agree with don't convince you of his superior intellect and unequaled debating skills? Welcome to my world! I find this place far more enjoyable with him blocked.
Ive nothing against hard work. But you bring up your odyssey of higher education every chance you can. Ok a little hyperbole. But to be sure at least five. We think its just great. But you appear to have contempt for someone who perhaps had a scholarship or had their tuition paid. And be honest, the reason you mentioned your hard work was to show off a bit your self-reliance. Not to dispel another's opinion. As I stated; it isnt the first or second time youve boasted about it. There's no way I could lag behind posts like yours. And really, the spelling thing. I thought you were above that. I guess I'm wrong again.
Corrrect! Sure I've discussed my background but it has always been within the context of the subject matter being discussed, every time. Furthermore, I have no contempt for anyone who has rec'd a scholarship or had their tuition paid for...I'm not sure where that came from but I think you are confusing a discussion we held regarding BO advocating taking on student loan debt & making it easier to do so (even though his own student loan debt was one of those tales of woe he likes to trot out when it benefits him). craig, I'm glad you're back!
No, he doesn't have me blocked, this is just his excuse for not being able to respond when I swat back his liberal, loony rants with facts...he simply isn't used to having people disagree with him.
I guess what you would call personal is relative Steve. What you call "evenly" I would call slanted, but you're the boss I suppose. I guess if I can be more creative, like Paul, with my insults, you'll let me slide too? I bet not.
"Crying to the moderator" is my only avenue Sparky. I'm not in the coin club that allows you fellow coiners the leeway that you are routinely given. I walk the tightrope while you spew your venom almost at will. I can deal with it though. Fire away.
Everytime? Can you prove that? I'm not confusing any such thing. I recall a post of yours where you clearly showed disdain for Obama for having it easy in school. But lets forget that segment of the post. Why couldnt you merely mention once that you had to work your way through school. '' (even though his own student loan debt was one of those tales of woe he likes to trot out when it benefits him)'' You would never do something like that.
Why are you explaining this to me? I didnt sneak into this room yesterday morning. Funny that you think I'm correct with this post, but not in the one where I wrote you like to brag.
Well, craig, I call 'em like I see 'em. Sometimes your right- yeah, even a blind hog finds an acorn sometimes- so we need to celebrate these rare occurences.
No you missed the point (imagine that, huh?). BO loved to go around & try to relate to "average" Americans and tell his tales of struggle & hardship. My issue with him over this subject was the fact that on one hand he told these stories about he & Michelle struggled mightily with student loan debt for some 20 years after graduating (even though they were both lawyers, he had written a couple of books, he had her placed on boards making well over 6 figures, etc) yet on the other hand he advocated biting off student loans & made them easier to accumulate. I thought that irresponsible...if the student loan debt was causing such hardship for these millionaire Ivy-League lawyer/authors why in the world would you promote it to average Americans? Why suggest people start their lives with insurmountable debt? Why? I simply pointed out that I worked and paid my way through & graduated without any debt. It can be done! What's wrong with that? Huh? Please tell me. Think about it for a minute, would you rather your kids work a little harder & graduate with no student loan debt or would you like to see them graduate with a mountian of it? It's really quite simple if you actually think about it. It's really just more liberal hyopcrisy. he wants to regulate & control everything he can but when the liberal, elite world of academia is involved it's open the flood gates and let them do what they want.
