Sorry, got caught up with Peter. I would imagine some costs are being paid by the Obamas but most are being footed by the taxpayers. Travelling with an entourage estimated at 70 some people, staying in $2500 per night hotels, etc (not to mention everything that goes along with it) is probably much more than the Obamas can afford. Remember, Michelle has claimed on numerous ocassions that they are "average" people who struggle with debt & obligations. Unless they have become millionaires since BO has taken office how could they possibly enjoy such an extravagent trip?
Certainly I can, Peter can you answer David's question? now back to the question in hand LOL She flew on Airforce 2 I see so they should pay for that as to if he could afford it the answer to that one is yes he could he has made a estimated $4 million (2007 figures) from book sales and that will have risen dramaticaly since his election. If they are doing it at the expense of the tax payer then you have the right to complain The secret service detail is different even if she had gone on holliday in the USA they would have still gone with her in numbers and there would have also been the cost to the local law enforcement agencies to add.
Oh, but the Obamas claim to have the same struggles as average, working class Americans. Do you think maybe they lied when they said that? Do you think there was added taxpayer expense for the sheer volume of people she took with her?
