So.....the republicans will "go along" with the tax cuts, already slated for the bulk of the middle class, so long as they get their cut? What are they going to do with their cut? Buy MORE of what exactly, that they can't already afford? Until the dems play ball though....no deal I guess.

Revenue for who??? Stockholders? CEO's? I know....if we cut the poor struggling top 2 percent's taxes, we'll all get a coupon in the mail for 30 percent off a bag of ramen noodles.....compliments of the appreciative GOP.

Where do you think the government gets the money to pay for your socialist agenda? Okay, let me rephrase! Where are they supposed to get it? Taxes are directly related to revenues Tommyboy. At present, since revenues are down, the government just borrows the money. Normal people would stop spending, but not our government. Don't worry, it will end in two months.

and so the further deficit created by the top tier tax cuts, will cause the government to..........borrow more money? It'll end in two months? Ok...we'll go back to pre Obama days....A.K.A the Bush days? That sounds like a brilliant idea all right. That might be a good thing though. Then...at least in 2012 we can blame the new majority for the catastrophic consequences that will be running rancid at that point.....it we're all still here by then.

Yes, let's go back. Reagan inherited a recession. His tax cuts got us out of the recession. Bush inherited a recession and then just to make sure, something happened one September. His tax cuts got us out of the recession at least temporarily. However, Bush could not overcome the Carter housing crises and his overspending. Obama raised taxes and look at what we got.

Deficits are not created by top tier tax cuts. Higher tax rates=less revenue=less tax dollars collected. Deficits are created by spending more than you are making. Everyone knows how much they are making. The government under the last two Presidential administrations have both spent more than they made and contributed to the deficit.

When I said it ends in two months, I meant it. The best possible scenario is a Republican Congress and Democratic President. The political stalemate will prohibit spending because every piece of legislation designed to spend more money will be bitterly opposed. The only thing that will stop the economic bleeding in this country is to stop borrowing money and stop spending money. While the Democrats are busy trying to figure out who to blame, we will be busy trying to fix the place.

How to repair a recession/depression? Follow the way we ended the 1919 depression, you know the one that the left does not want you to know about. Google it.

How not to fix? Dont repeat FDR !!! Obama has not learned that.

Tom Corona still cannot prove me wrong, but is an excellent investigator. Maybe investigate tax rates / revenue streams through history. July 2007, after the tax cuts had a bit of time to work, the US Treasury reported the largest revenue in history, problem was, they were spending it faster than ever, thus the W deficit.

Lower taxes and cut spending and this will be the roaring 20's all over.
