It is not out of line to ask a poster, moderator or host to back up a statement. Peter made a statement that is not true.....you are not willing to call him on it?

 

Obama eliminates stuff, our host eliminates stuff....we call this debate? I am getting soured to the whole site if this is happening.

 

Do you really believe Peter thinks the statement he wrote is true? I think he was being facetious. Ive asked David if he thinks gay teachers cant be good teachers and he never replied back. I asked him over and over. But he doesnt shy away from being a wise ass. In another thread I truly think the story David read mentioned all off the states that didnt ship out absentee ballots to soldiers on time. Both red and blue. But he only yelped about the blue. I think he eliminated the red part to serve his purpose. Are you not willing to call him on it? Whats the big deal? How many here are gonna change the world. Or does anyone besides David really think they can? How many posts in here are false or half true anyway? More than just Peter's i bet. I saw it as a joke. I guess you and David saw it as an insult to someone that I doubt either of you know. Or that he dared to say something so horribly false that David demands an apology. Yet David can start some crap up and be above reproach.

So do we wait until it hs a heartbeat to call it life? when it has fingers ? when it can live outside the womb? Live begins at conception, otherwise the development that happens during the gestation period would not be possible. That is not a religious belief, that is a scientific fact.

 

Science says evolution over a creator too. God says not to drink to get drunk. You a scientific supporter or a man of God? Which do you choose to believe? Maybe you bend things to fit your hypocrisy (like a true right wing elitist would do)? Small things help to entertain small minds. I love pointing out the 350K brand of hypocrisy and insincerity you wallow in.

 

I would tend to go with this over the other 2. Like I said, I just don't see a simple celled organism as automatically having the rights of a person over the rights of the mother. But, at some point, I think it does. And I certainly think that when it can live outside the mother on its own, the balance of whose rights we are talking about dramatically shifts.
