Hardly most of them they still have 51 in the senate and a 180+ in the house now in the Governors elections the did not do as well only holding on to 4 of the 7 they started with
Nope. I'm happy. 30 days or so, it'll be all straightened out. The stock market should shoot up now and jobs all over the place. What's to be sad about?
LMAO!! Hahahaha! This was the best response to that sad post. This is the only way democrats get elected. We have people that don't understand a damn thing, but think they have it AAAALLL figured out in their wee little minds. I'd just like to know what an appropriate wage would be for working at McDonalds and a thorough explanation of, "why?". $50k? $60k? You better do some reading Tom!!!!! He may be impressionable now (while at your level) but you're going to have a lot more difficult questions coming your way as he gets older. So far, your answers aren't flying in the adult world. I figure you've got a good 5 or 6 years to study up. Good luck!
And yet you would force her to have a baby she didnt ask for from a man she didnt know who forced himself on her and could possibly carry a life threatening disease that could affect both her and the slimey piece of crap she is carrying , just so you could ''raise it and love it as your own''. Regardless of what she might want. How sweet.
You're right. That was stereo typical. My apologies. What I meant to say is that people can marry whomever they wish and never suffer ill effects.
You don't have to delete attack posts on my account. I didn't see what was posted but it wouldn't have bothered me if I did. I always consider the source and, in the case of that poster, I consider the source not worth considering.
50 or 60k sounds about right as long as consumers will go along with the concept of 10 dollar value menu instead of the current dollar value menu.
Since you are incredibly, fantastically, fanatically, obsessively against anything having to do with rich people and have an unrelenting wealth obsessed world view, if your son becomes rich, your relationship with him would almost certainly suffer immensely. He would be one of 'them'. Kind of like the jackasses who disown their sons if they end up being gay. And whether I comment or not on anything you post really has nothing at all to do with my total lack of respect for your opinion of me or most anything else. It is not a cause and effect situation.
Of course they would make money. They would actually make the same amount of money because they would cut the sizes in half. My kids noticed that very thing with candy this Halloween. My 13 year old commented that the little box of sugar sticks (or whatever the heck they are) only had 2 pieces in it this year when they had 4 in them a couple of years back in the same size box.
Well...if he attains his wealth via the tactics and using the resources I rail against. then my relationship with him might indeed be damaged, but I plan to raise him with some kind of sense of human morality and not the Walmart/corporate mentality, so I think I stand a good chance that we'll get along just fine. Thanks for your insightful point of view though. I actually had a decent opinion of you originally, for whatever it's worth, but, admittedly that was some time ago. I still find validity in your posts sometimes however and enjoy a well thought out post, which you often do. Ignorance isn't always the result of the lack of knowledge, as you have demonstrated. Rather, sometimes it's the product of plain old bias or being genuinely misinformed.
So, just how, in your mind, can one attain wealth & success and it not be "via the tactics and using the resources I rail against"? Give us a few examples. Your very own idol, Michael Moore, has become wealthy beyond belief & it was through capitalism that he achieved that wealth. He set prices for his work, hired workers who produced his product (probably made them work a little overtime? Lift a heavy camera?)...every thing you "rail" against. Heck, I'll bet while he was filming one of his movies about how bad Americans & our systems are, if one of his workers got injured, he packed 'em off to the closest hospital, whipped out the insurance card & they got treated. Oh, that evil American way.
Tom, if I work hard and save my money, does that make me greedy? I wanted to be a Boy Scout but my mother made me take piano lessons instead because it was cheaper but I like the motto always be prepared. If a slacker is begging for alms should I give him a dollar? Heck no because I am not my brothers keeper and the slacker made his own bed and has to sleep in it. You are a misguided soul but suspect that your bank account is large so that makes you a hypocrite.
TomC was an 8 figure coorperate exec at Lehman Bros, and was fired before the collapse, and now sits in his boxers in his moms basement, full of angst and with a grudge. He only pretends to be a poor Walmart greeter making sub wages. He hates Wall Street and money because they are the ones that rejected him.
Well, there are probably 350,000 or so ways to respond to your arrogance, but I'll just say this. People that make gobs of cash feel guilty deep down inside for having attained it immorally. Often they attempt to drown that guilt in booze, and usually become extra angry after they see something that reminds them of that immorality. Then they often go off in an alcohol induced rant because their buzz got messed up. I do hate Wall street though. You are correct there. I have a feeling I'm not the only one too. On the other hand... self absorbed, wealthy right wingers think Wall street is wonderful and have little problem with their style of excess and greed. Go figure.
First of all, tom considers everyone who has more & works harder than he does to be wealthy so that means virtually every person walking the planet. I guess when you are in tom's position you have to blame others. I wonder how far back tom's memeory goes? I wonder if he can remember the day he close his path? Was it skipping school? Sleeping in rather than looking for a job? I think it would be interesting to know what made tom tom.
