I have to admit that I did not know who Keith Olbermann was until I checked Wikipedia. I do not like his smile because it looks painted on. I do not like Rush either even though I am a stauch conservative. What we need is a new Harry Truman, the buck stops here.
While I cannot stand Olberman, I defend his right to be on air ( if he makes his employer $$$ )........Hannity talks openly about his political contributions, I see no problem with Olbermans donations. The fact that he circumvented the rules is the only problem I can see.......
Did anyone have any doubts about his political leanings? I mean really... But, there are really only 2 good ways to handle that in my mind. Especially when you have your own show. And it is a political show. Not to mention if you bash other show's agendas. I think you either don't do it. Or you make sure people know you did do it. The latter is probably the more upfront and honest. At least that is how I see it. I think it would be bad to do it and wait to see if anyone notices the campaign filings before owning up to it.
Olbermann ignored his employer's policy regarding political donations, his boss couldn't tolerate it and suspended him. I wouldn't necessarily see a problem with commentators giving donations, but Olbermann didn't follow his company's rules. Additionally, he railed against Republicans for giving donations! It's Olbermann's hypocrisy that reveals his true character and gives me yet another reason to dislike him. Will I miss seeing his smug, smarmy, two-faced smile on TV? Hardly... and good riddance!
Unfortunately, you are correct sir. He'll be back Tuesday night. I'll have to find something interesting to do during his time slot... maybe I'll dust my coat hangers or watch paint dry. As far as upping his ratings, well, I wouldn't be too sure. He's certainly revealed his true, underhanded, back-room, sneaky, hypocritical self and I believe that's going to turn a lot of people off. Well, except for the people who agree with those tactics.
You could always switch to Fox. Pretty sure there's no hypocrisy going on over there. Just the best blowhards the right has to offer. There's even this guy name Ann, who's pretty gross looking but guaranteed to put a lump in your throat (or at least show you his).
It's not a question of hypocrisy, KO simply broke the rules of his employer and had to pay the price.
...and most certainly are a rightie. Ann was/is a man. Women don't have an "Adam's apple" sir and I sink to the depth required to expose what should be the obvious.
Oh, you got me! I can't compete with your superior wit and wisdom. The brilliance of your perception is like an exploding supernova. Now, you're making it seem as if you're not attracted to Ann Coulter, but where there's smoke there's fire. Come on, if you're attracted to Ann Coulter just say so... we're open-minded here and we're not going to judge you; all are welcome in the new Obama/George Soros socialist utopia! What's your favorite flavor of Kool-Aid?
Well, I'm going to bed perchance to dream of Republican domination of politics and the downfall of Osama... er... Obama and all his lunatic, Communist/Marxist/Socialist/New World Order cronies. Ya know, I'm sleeping so much better since last Tuesday. I can actually see light at the end of this dark tunnel we're in. I believe Americans finally woke up to the error of their 2008 ways. Hallelujah!
Hmmm. You mean a network that gladly invites a liberal like Juan Williams on to discuss the issues with everyone else? Then he gets FIRED by his own network, for among other reasons, they "didn't like it that he would talk on Fox news"? A place where someone like Bill O'Reilly wouldn't be allowed to step foot near the building, let alone have a debate with one of their unknown, but all knowing, pinheads? Hmmm. Which news organization should I listen to. Choices, choices. Damn, this is a hard one! Again, your statement is mindless and foolish.
Well well...more mysterious editing and hypocrisy. I always end sentences with "with". You could at least put it in red so I know which words I'm not supposed to post today and which ones lehigh is allowed to post. I'm compiling a list (for my own personal interests of course) of posts where "consistency" and not being at all biased go hand in hand. Oh...that's right. You don't want to appear to be a hypocrite. Why not show the editing in red like you normally do? Oh yeah. You don't want to appear to be a hypocrite or biased.
