    You sir, with the gun rack and the "the south will rise again" and the "dale earnhardt" bumper stickers, with the over sized tires on your daddy's favorite pickup truck....divorce your cousin, put down your fishin' pole, and step away from the deer heads.

    Moen's op states "People Are Tired of Fox's Lies " Here is just how tired they are of Fox's lies;

    CNN Falls To Last Place In Primetime Demo

    i.e. Fox averaged more viewers that CNN, MSNBC and HDL combined. If no one trusts them, how did they get so many viewers?

    BTW, De orc can misread this any way he so chooses.

    Once again he never stated that fox or any other network was in any poll position that has been your argument You have a habit of writing things and claiming that others stated or meant them when in fact they did not

    Now this is a direct quote from the poll write up

    A year ago a plurality of Americans said they trusted Fox News. Now a plurality of them don't. Conservatives haven't moved all that much- 75% said they trusted it last year and 72% still do this time around. But moderates and liberals have both had a strong increase in their level of distrust for the network

    This is what he said and you can argue against it all you want but that is what the poll stated it made no mention of overall viewing share or who watched what channel, you have introduced that to the argument

    A plurality usualy is taken as meaning most trusted the network and now they dont, hence if they do not trust what the network says then common sence says they think that at best the network is twisting the truth (But moderates and liberals have both had a strong increase in their level of distrust for the network) You might well not like that but that is what this poll is in essence saying

    My sited line was not from his unreferenced poll. It is a direct quote of Moen's words from the OP in this thread. I am sure you can and will read anything you desire into those words, but they are Moen's word, not the poll's words.

    And, yes, your sited lines are a direct quote from his unreferenced poll. Are you saying that they are therefore a fact that I should accept? Without knowing the specific wording of the questions asked or the population polled, it is kind of hard to speak intelligently regarding any conclusion someone else may draw.

    I also believe that the poll "made no mention of overall viewing share". It was not conducive to the slant they wanted to put on the results. As I stated in my first post in this thread, "probably the best poll out there, which is watched the most?". Please explain to me why, if "People Are Tired of Fox's Lies" and "plurality of them don't [don,t trust Fox News]", 52% of the entire cable news watchers watch Fox. That is a majority of the watchers. Now are you really saying that the plurality do not trust the news they have chosen to watch. Does that really make sense to you? It does not make sense to me.

    LOL thank you David
    Now regardless of if it makes any sence that is what it stated or do you deney that? as for should you accept it's findings I refer you to this section of my previouse post which you obviously missed "and you can argue against it all you want"
    If you wish to argue that the poll is wrong then please do so siting your own poll that states a plurality of viewers actualy believe Fox news or if you want to argue that more viewers watch fox than any other then again feel free to do so

    You keep citing this poll. Could you please cite where in this poll it says;
    Maybe I missed the reference, but I don't think so.

    Do I think the poll is wrong, probably not. Do I think that there have selectively gleaned their desired message, absolutely. Again I say without the questions/demographics, I can prove nothing from that poll nor can you. As for my link, please see post #25.

    Well lets see if you understand this, it states there is no change in the Republican view point (Seems Like Other Than Republicans) BUT that there is a change in the viewpoint of the rest
    Now that says to me that the rest who no longer trust Fox news therfore the trust they had last year has disolved! is that ok with you? Or do you disagree that the trust has eroded?
    I cant say if they are tired of it that is a assumption made by Moen, but given the gist of the poll it is possibly a fair one to make
    And yet again you fail to grasp the simple premis that I have not stated anywere that the poll is right or wrong so I dont actualy have to prove anything.

    Now should I go all grammar police on your behind for this one or post dictionary definitions to prove without a shadow of a doubt that this is incorrect or are you going to defend the use of "sited" rather than "cited" beyond all reason like you usually do?

    I'm only asking because you seem to have no ability to admit that you ever made a mistake.

    I will freely admit you are correct unlike somebodies on this site. My fingers often lag way behind my southern educated thinking.

    Yeah, I'm sure it was just your fingers that created the typo here because nobody ever mistakes the word "sited" for "cited". Wow! What an ego you have.

    Let me get this straight. I admit a mistake. You imply that the dictionaries are not as accurate as you and your spell checker. Therefore I have such an ego!?!?!?! I wonder just where that leaves you.
