Actualy you didnt get rid of your nobility until after the second civil war you just changed the names Until then most of it was the large Southern landowners and in the north many of the factory owners All you had removed was the titles you still had a stratified society Every society has it's ruling classes and for the most part we were more open about it than you Americans I know that anyone born in America can aspire to the white house or run a company (Same here any one can become Prime minister or run a large company) but can you honestly say to me that you do not have country clubs etc that will only allow membership to those from the right family? that you do not have generations who have gone to the same privet school? or those who have generations passing through West Point/Annapolis? Well we have the same the only difference is many of ours have titles

My countrymen have allowed tyrants to take over the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois and nobody's driving them out. Daley decided to retire on his own after nearly 4 decades of rule by that family. Now Rham Emanuel will take over the dynasty. Madigan is one of the longest running speakers in US history, if not the longest. And his wonderful daughter who is ruling with an iron clad fist at the Attorney General position, came up with the 'brilliant' idea that the state should be mandated to release the names of all FOID card owners under the freedom of information act. LOL!! May as well print out a list of all the gun owners in this state so the criminals know what houses to look for guns to steal while the rightful owners are at work. Then she could whine that gun crime was up and that they're getting into the wrong hands. Thankfully the ISRA took it to court and got a restraining order against her lunacy. Then, people are fighting for concealed carry in this state, which is one of the last out of 48 states to have no laws on the books for it. This is a huge week where the house will vote on HB0148, the Family and Personal Protection Act. It takes a super-majority of 71 votes to pass, because it has to over-ride Chicago home rule laws. Should it get the 71, and then pass the Senate, we have good ole Chicago machine governor Quinn sitting there ready to veto because he personally doesn't care for it. But he can raise income taxes at will if he likes without even throwing the other side a bone. There is no compromise.
