So in your book it is constitutional for states to opress and act in a dictotorial manner? I thought you got rid of such attitudes when you had your revolution LOL

See you are not a US citizen so you do not understand the system. Obama (D) is an evil socialist for Obamacare but Romney (R) is a fine Presidential with Romneycare. It is not about what you actually believe in, it is about the D&R. You are required to condemn the one and ignore, distract, and dodge the facts about the other. It is the product of a system where the choices are so limited and the differences so small that the parties can tell the voters what to think and do instead of the voters telling the parties what to think and do.

Not necessarily. I have no fondness for Romney but I believe the individual states hold the power to make their laws and aren't as restricted by the Constitution as the federal gov't is (should) be. I can be against something, such as Romneycare, but accept the state's right to pass their own legislation. It's really not that complicated.

So do you agree that Romney is a poor choice for a Republican Presidential candidate because of his socialist healthcare reform as executive of his own state. Not to mention because he raised gas taxes and firearms license taxes on his constituents?

    David Proud Enemy of Hillary

    Yes, among other things.....
It seems you & d'orc assume I am trying to justify Romney, when did I ever show any support for the guy? He isn't conservative enough for me. Just so we are clear...I vote "Conservative" not Republican. I would support a Dim over a Repub if I believed the Dim was the most conservative, in fact we will be electing a new mayor this year & I'm supporting the Dim candidate. How do you like that?

That is surprising for this place, actually. Personally, I don't trust Romney at all. There are too many things he was for before he was against them and it makes it impossible to judge what he actually believes. I am sure he will be talking up his conservative stances on healthcare, taxes or religious right issues like abortion, etc but I think it would be foolish to believe any of it.

You just nailed it. I will NOT vote for Romney in the primary, I wil vote for the best conservative, BUT, if it comes down to Romney V Bo, Romney will get my vote. then i'll go home and wash the stink off. We have to get rid of BO, and I am hoping it will be Herman Cain or another come from nowhere grassroots conservative. I am sick of RINO's and politicians in general.

Suppose you show me where I've ever demonstrated any level of support for either one of these guys.....otherwise shut up.

Posts:3,605Trump would be way down my list as well (but well ahead of any of the Dim doofus' out there) but it would be tough using the handling of one's own finances as a litmus test. If you'll remember, during the campaign, BO told several stories of how he struggled with debt, not having enough money to rent a car, etc and all of this was well after he & his wife were both lawyers and had written books. Heck, Michelle may have already had one of her cushy jobs by then. If I had to pick between a guy who had never tasted success vs one who has rebounded & achieved it several times, give me the one who has had some success. ..........................This seems to be some level of support for Trump. This is your post David.

    LOL, Now THAT was funny.

Trump is in bed with Rahm Emmanuel
Romney is a pro-choice healthcare law supporter
Gingrich has the moral values of an alley-cat

You just criticized three Republicans and want us to believe that you are not a democrat. Time to come out of the closet and put on your Obama bumper sticker.
