I don't think the government has any business telling anybody they can or can't get married. stay the out of peoples private lives and bedrooms.

I don't have a dog in that fight but seeing people become equal in the eyes of society no matter what their differences are can only be a good thing. The thing that is really shocking is that this was a Republican controlled legislature. That is the first time this type of law has been past by a Right leaning state legislature. Damn!!

There is nothing to the opposition other than wanting the government to legislate their morality. The whole problem with this is similar to legalizing drugs (kinda). Their "acceptance" into situations where morality generally dictates a different lifestyle, by default of readily accepting it as normal, everyday, associated with lifestyles of mom and mom or dad and dad, versus mom and dad, sends a bad message, IMO. Again, you have the right to practice whatever the hell you want in the privacy of your own environment. Forcing onto society as completely acceptable and mainstream is something else.

And becoming President and everything. I am still trying to figure out how we got to the point that we accept women voting. That is when the country really went to hell. No wonder the Middle East hates us. Gay marriage, interracial children, women's rights, no official religion. We are barbarians.
