This sums up how I feel about our wars

While researching the moronic mental-midgets you extreme-righties seem to think have a grasp on things, I found they had about 165 equally misleading statements about Obama, but had settled on the list of 20 cents reposted.

Here's a FACT: I consider myself far more lucky and well off than the extreme poor. Despite my injuries and bad health, despite my inability to be successful in making money, I am far better off than a lot of people. My chief complaint against David, is that he appears to have no compassion for people who haven't been as successful as he has.

There are people living in absolute misery in this World through circumstances beyond their control and when I hear an berating all of them for not being able to succeed as well as he has, I have no choice but to call them out for that stupidity.

Now, say you are correct, that everyone can do as well as you two have, and become millionaires. What do you think the result will be? Think about it! If everyone is a millionaire how much do you think products and services would cost? You think a gallon of gas is expensive now, try envisioning a World where no one has less than a million, that gallon would cost a thousand dollars or more!

NOT EVERYONE CAN SUCCEED. NOT EVERYONE HAS THE SAME CIRCUMSTANCES. NOT EVERYONE CAN BE A DAVID OR AN RLM'S CENTS. NOT EVERYONE CAN BE A MOEN. NOT EVERYONE CAN BE AN IQLESS1. UNDERSTAND YET? ...probably not.

BTW, my guess is that you are considerably healthier than I. Funny, but you have not heard me griping about it, have you?

 

You just don't get it, do you? Whether someone is successful or not isn't the issue at all...it's if they are willing to at least attempt to be a contributing member of society that matters. Most people can achieve if they are willing to put forth the effort...you see it happen everyday.

If you only want to hear from healthy people then you are nice. Everyone I know has one issue or another. I consider my issues to be tolerable, and am grateful for that. What I refuse to tolerate are people who belittle the poor, or the gullible who defend them when they do.

 

There is a big difference between "defending the poor" and berating the rich. I might stop defending the rich when you stop berating them. And, BTW, I do not berate the poor. You might say I berate the lazy, the druggies, the criminals, the takers, etc., but not those who really need help. Although my definition of "need" is apparently different than yours.

 

You have no idea. Being injured as a kid and becoming half blind means little to me. Learning how to walk again was easy. That kind of stuff doesn't have much to do with my current health problems though, but who cares? I didn't mention it for your benefit, or even mine... it's just a fact about myself I chose to share. My only gripes are with people who are so selfish and self-absorbed that they can't understand why treating people who are disadvantaged like crap is wrong.

My definition of "need" is obviously different than yours. I wonder if you give to charities for the poor kids, then when they hit 18 change your opinion of them in an instant... "You're lazy now! Get a job and stop increasing my taxes you lazy slobs!"

 

Would you please tell me specifically how "we three" have earned uncivility from you? If you plan on being uncivil, then as far as I'm concerned, you've joined the ranks of the other liberals on this forum. When you first came here, you seemed rather calm and willing to have civil discussions. Lately, you've taken a very mean and nasty attitude toward anyone who disagrees with you. Are you OK?

Specifically? Haven't you been paying attention? I will say out of the three, you are the least offensive... for a damn anti-socialist you're actually not too bad. Cents isn't that bad either, but he's got it in his head to defend David, so now we're into it. David himself has only really offended me with his rants against lazy people. I can agree there are lazy people, but not everyone who is poor is a lazy person. He's got it in his head that everyone has an equal chance at prosperity, and it simply isn't true.

If you don't have a job, it must be the government's fault, if the only industry in your town closed it's doors and moved to China, it is the government's fault, if you take any government assistance your character is in questioned and you should blame the government. The far left looks to get people dependent on gov't charity & takes every opportunity to accuse their opponents of trying to take it away. The left isn't compassionate towards these people, the left despises them but needs that voting bloc come election time. The far left is no better than the drug dealer who gets kids hooked so that they have to keep coming back. That is the disservice a nanny state mentality creates...lefties know it but don't want to discuss it.

 

Oh you broke out the nanny state and class warefare talking points. The Orwellian point here is that the Cons are doing eveything they can to force more and more people in this country to have to depend on government just to feed their kids these days while complaining that people are doing themselves harm by depending on the government. They have pssed exactly zero legislation to create jobs, they refuse to invest in infrastructure projects, they cut unemployment benefits, and then wonder why people are dependent on the government to survive. It's because of their policies.
