The TOTAL Greek debt is $360B Euros (or about $500B)...so why is Tim Geithner pledging up to $2 trillion to the IMF for the purpose of underwriting Greek debt? I understand that Greeks like retiring at 52, but I don't want to pay for it. Granted, he may just be jaw-boning the markets up...but maybe he's not.
Apparently we here in the UK are also going to give extra to the IMF dispite promises that we woudnt LOL there again the proises were made by the goverment LOL
It seems like both the Democrats AND Republicans have this vision of "The United States of the World". I don't recall voting for that. I don't recall voting for most of the crap that's going on. Take Social Security, for instance. I don't think the government should mandate a pension annuity just as they shouldn't mandate health insurance. OK...it's done...the government is in the annuity business. So why isn't Social Security run like an annuity business? Set premiums to align with actuarial tables; invest the funds and grow principle. ...but we don't do that, do we? We spend the money as if it's Heaven sent...with the idea that we just tax future generations to make up the shortfall. Now we want to cover millions of illegal aliens by cutting back or eliminating payments to folks that have invested into this Ponzi scheme their whole lives. Isn't anyone paying attention?!
