I guess that's lights out for the Cain campaign

Dee, according to the DSM-IV-TR, the correct diagnosis is "Antisocial Personality Disorder." You won't find either psychopath or sociopath as a dx, although they were both commonly used at one time. You're right about the test, though. It's too easy to fool and people with ASD don't turn a hair when lying. I watched Herman Cain's press conference and he did kind of say he'd take a polygraph test, but he weasled out of it by saying "but I won't do that unless there is good reason to" or something of that nature. I won't have to go far out on a limb to say that I will never vote for him, even if he is the Republican candidate. He made me feel all slimy watching him.

Interesting conclusions, but they are wrong. Polygraphs are quite accurate - as much as 99%. And, BTW, they are admissible in many states as evidence. As a side note to this, eye witness identifications can run as low as 60%.

I don't think polygraphs can work on politicians. They lie so much that they begin to believe in the lies, then the lies become the truth to them. One should always assume that every word out of a politicians mouth is a lie, it's safer that way. Cain is guilty, end of story.

I think at first it was the Liberal media that was responsible for Mr Cain's problems, then it was Rick Perry, now the Democrat machine, whatever that is, has managed to come up with a registered Republican tea party supporter to point the finger at our Herman. Where will the blame fall next? I can hardly wait to find out. In the meantime you'd think his brothers from another mother would be a little more vocal in his support.

“The fact is, these anonymous allegations are false, and now the Democrat machine in America has brought forth a troubled woman to make false accusations, many of which exceed common sense, and they certainly exceed the standards of decency in America.”

You are correct about the states. 19 states allow the polygraph test as evidence which leaves 31 that don't.
If you want to insist that lie detectors are accurate you can. However, the scientific testing hasn't proven that at all. In fact, the NAS (National Academy of Science) did a comprehensive study and found that it was extremely unreliable.

If you want to trust them go ahead. I do not. No state can force you to take one even though some will let them in. As I said it is far too easy for people of certain mental conditions to pass them and if you think that you are telling the truth it will show that you are telling the truth. I would rather trust a Ouija Board.

That's not even Cain. What's your point, that they all look alike to you?

But you apparently did not listen to the whole tape. He has been to 57 with one more to go and he was not allowed to go to Alaska and Hawaii. That actually totals 60!

Sorry, you're right. What was the excuse his handlers made for BO not knowing how many states there were? Wasn't he sleepy or something like that?

The lame street media did not need any excuses. They just ignored it - like they do often.

How many US protectorates are there which aren't actually states?

You might have a point if he hadn't distinctly said "states". He didn't say "protectorates". So, what's your point?

That's rather harsh Peter. After all it seems you are asking a few folks that seemingly consider themselves to be masters of wit and sarcasm what their point is when IMHO they have none. Also, IMHO, they have no real gifts of wit and sarcasm.

The fact that they cannot seem to ever stick to the topic of any given thread solidifies my opinion. I see it a lot here Peter. Do you? Anyone else?
Now, as name calling is forbidden, I will go as far as saying the behavior of certain individuals on this forum is just a teeny, tiny notch above being a mindless troll. That's just my opinion of course.

Some might say "oh there goes Clembo again" while another might thank me for the "drive by". (You're welcome).

That aside let's get back to the subject. It's about Herman Cain.

I figure he's guilty of the harrassment as charged to some (if not all) degree. I have no proof.
I think it will hurt his campaign to the point of killing it.

I think it will come down to Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. I think Romney will be the Republican candidate.

On a side note I think President Obama probably eats more pizza than Herman Cain but I could be wrong here for sure. Cain's got to be tired of pizza and his isn't that good.
However, President Obama having spent so much time in Chicago probably knows a REAL pizza. One he can't get in Washington. Of course AF1 could deliver or he could go for carry out.

    Back to subject.

I think Cain is toast and have said so.

    Garlic bread would be better.

Since we already have a forum admin & a forum mod, I nominate clembo to be forum hall monitor! Give him the yellow sash & some type of badge & make it his responsibility to write down the names of members who name-call, go off topic, makes jokes & whatever else he mentioned in the previous post. Show of hands, who votes for clembo as hall monitor?
