So, we know lobbyists in America have corrupted the very heart of our government... is that communism also? No, since it's capitalism here, it would be better for me to say capitalism = corruption, and corruption = capitalism. In my World ...if I believe I might die from starvation in the near-future, and people say "Who cares? Let him die!", then why should I worry about their well-being, about what they think at all? Contribute to what? Paying taxes? Like you? Should I then complain, every second of the day, to anyone within earshot, that others are not paying their "fair share!" ? You don't like that I pay my taxes and receive a refund. I think it was Coin who advised me to not withhold so much either, that it was my money and why give the government it, and receive a refund, when it's mine to begin with... but it sounds like you are saying it isn't... you're saying I don't pay my fair-share. I consider myself a capitalist. The socialists, communists and many in the Occupy movement would like to see my way of life destroyed. Wiped out. Obliterated. Now, please tell me why in the world I should give a damn about them? If they don't care whether I live or die, why should I care about whether they receive a roof over their head or health care? Before you target me for criticism, please realize that I'm playing Devil's Advocate with my questions. In reality, I give more money to the financially-challenged than you may realize. There's the thing: You believe your way of life will be wiped-out. I don't believe that, since those characteristics you despise... communism and socialism... they are already present in our daily lives. What you fear is the idea of communism and socialism, but without them you'd never have been born in the first place... humankind would have killed each other the moment two of them existed. Capitalism isn't about taking care of each other, it's about making a buck. Thankfully Capitalism is only a portion of our daily lives, but it's not something I personally would want removed, though it needs improvement... like the enhancement of some communist and socialist characteristics already present in our sytem. What communism and socialism in America wants is to work with capitalism to provide community support for those that need assistance, not Coin's death. That said, if Coin doesn't care about other people, too bad... it's a Bubba-situation... it's gonna happen whether you want it to or not lol

You keep saying that we already have communism and socialism. Please show me where we have government control of the economy. Granted, there are some small areas where government is heavily into the economy, but we are a far cry from the government controlling the economy. However, the biggest exception to this is (or might be) Obamacare.
What I'm saying isn't a promotion of government-run communistic or socialistic-styled government, as seen in other countries in the past. All I'm saying is that, some characteristics of socialism and communism are a part of any government, even our own... and that those characteristics are a part of any society... that they have always been a part of our lives, and always will be. Without those certain characteristics no society could even exist. I'm not advocating America become like the U.S.S.R used to be, or saying capitalism is evil and must be done away with. I'm saying the fear of the words communism and socialism, especially the fear the older-generations in America have, has left people incapable of accepting that there are any good aspects of the words. This is mostly a philosophical exercise, not a proclamation of support for the ideals of the former Soviet Union.
I'm not familiar with this website, so please excuse my mistakes. I agree about MSMBC. But I discovered another cable station that is about as politically honest as anyone could expect. It is CNBC. Yes, it's part of the NBC family, and the hosts are supposed to be liberal, but they can't afford to do political spin anymore than a weatherman can afford to politically spin tommorow's weather forecast. CNBC, in the daytime is a financial channel. Stock markets, bonds, currencies, precious metals and that sort of thing. They really try hard to put out true facts about markets, companies, sectors and products. The hosts' reputations depend on accurate forecast, just like a weatherman. But you can't seperate markets and investments from geopolitical events. Especially now when European politics dominates the stock market. My favorite program is Squawk Box that comes on at 5 AM Central time. They have the most impressive guests of any network ever. And every morning they have a guest host who sits at the table with them and comments on all the news stories and questions all of the guest, along the regular hosts. Guests include the CEO's of the largest corporations, banks, hedge funds, brokerage firms, cabinet members, FED regional presidents, economists and financial analyists, both foreign and domestic. About half of the discussions involve politics such as budget fights, Wall Street crimes and regulations, foreign elections, military conflicts, presidential debates, etc... They get very opinionated. You will hear the most conservative statements of any program on the cable. And they have no respect at all for Obama. Their prejudices are financial ones such as not liking gold and silver, or not liking bonds, or not liking Ben Bernakie At 7 AM Squawk Street starts. They broadcast from the floor of the NY Stock Exchange where they can grab traders and get the facts straight from the horse's mouth. Again, supreme guests and brutally honest. Just a thought about an alternative news source.

You think you do, but you don't. The term requires that the person espouses a sytem that is viewed as unpopular. Communist's don't believe the sytem is unpopular, and neither do I. Another requirement that needs to be satisfied is support for that unpopular system. You say I am supporting communism and site bad things that communist leaders have done, and that too is untrue. What I'm saying is the idea of communism the word, isn't bad ...not the system of government... the word, there is a difference but you continue to fail to see it 'cause daddy Reagan indoctrinated you to associate communism with the bad things the communist leaders did. An open-minded person should know how to separate the two. So while it is your belief the system is unpopular, others have a differing view-point. While you may believe I'm supporting the bad aspects of communism, I'm not. It may be accurate to call me an apologist in your circle, but from my view your circle is full of ignorant people (like Reagan)... therefore the term apologist doesn't apply. You think you know what I'm thinking and that's fine, but I'm not getting drawn down into your ugliness. It has been a good weekend for me: my bred-by dog actually went all the way around the ring today and didn't fold himself up on the table and my open dog got his first point, ever--PLUS--my open b---h (can I spell it out when using the word correctly?) went Best Opposite Sex for the cross-over point giving her 10 out of the 15 points she needs. And, contrary to your opinion, I've gotten a ton of feedback on how even-tempered and patient I am and how courteous, even stewarding the huge herding entry that I did. So, IQLess, I don't care about you, your perception of me, your opinion of my reaction to the word "communism," or what your "button" might be. I think that you'll find that people will respond in negative ways when you constantly push and prod--like the child who keeps smacking the dog on the head and then cries that the dog is "mean" when he or she gets bitten. If you look for nastiness in people and set them up so that they can only respond in one way, then that's what you'll get from the discussion. You can pretend superiority of yourself and your arguments, but in reality you're just failing in your arguments and making yourself look bad in the process because people know what you're up to. Now, I have much better things to do than to worry about you tonight. I have dogs to feed and sleep to get before waking up in 4.5 hours and a bred-by dog to bathe in the morning before heading back for another six hours of stewarding. I remind myself: a bad day at the dog show is good compared to arguing with someone who vociferously defends and clings to a failed political system.

Al I said was I got some news from a Russian news network and considered it to be more fair about American issues than what American news networks were airing.
