Anybody here want to take Inhofe's side on this issue? I think Satan has chimed in and supported Inhofe. This is what the Right-Wing in this country has lowered itself to in their effort to lie about the affects of pollution being pumped into our environment by the very same people financially supporting people like Inhofe. The RW zombies drink it in. I'm going to put my stock in the 99% of climate scientists that have affirmed man-made global warming.
BTW It's going to 80 degrees on Wednesday in my neck of the woods in March! Not proof in and of itself but one more reminder that something is not right.

Inhofe: God Says Global Warming Is A Hoax
By Brad Johnson on Mar 9, 2012 at 11:24 am

In a radio interview with Voice of Christian Youth America, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) argued that his belief that global warming is a hoax is biblically inspired. Promoting his book The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future, Inhofe told interviewer Vic Eliason on Wednesday that only God can change the climate, and the idea that manmade pollution could affect the seasons is “arrogance“:

Well actually the Genesis 8:22 that I use in there is that “as long as the earth remains there will be springtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night.” My point is, God’s still up there. The arrogance of people to think that we, human beings, would be able to change what He is doing in the climate is to me outrageous.

    Listen here:

Inhofe went on to attack evangelical leader Rich Cizik, the former Vice President of the National Association of Evangelicals, who has made the religious case for fighting climate change pollution. Inhofe said Cizik has been “exposed as a liberal” and that he is like idolatrous Romans described in the Bible as those who “give up the truth about God for a lie.”

In the interview, Inhofe did not mention he has received $1,352,523 in campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry, including $90,950 from Koch Industries.

VCY America also argues that Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud, Muslim extremists have infiltrated the federal government, and that the United Nations has engineered the Agenda 21 program to transform human society through population control and energy use.

He's an extremely religious person who sees everything through his religious belief's "filter". That's fine for him as an individual, but dangerous for our country when someone like him is in a position of power.

Radical religious extremism isn't limited to Islam. Christians may not be killing people in the streets like they used to, or like the extremists element in the muslim community are today, but their beliefs can keep them from looking at the evidence on an issue. Instead they tend to ignore evidence and quote bible passages, and their interpretations of what "God" meant by it.

I'd rather have someone who looks at all the evidence, for and against the issues, who can then make an educated decision... rather than someone who ignores the evidence and interprets his god's will instead. It's not reasonable, and I especially don't want unreasonable people in positions of power.

Point out one place where theocracies have worked out well for democracy. Yet given the chance, people like Rick (Google me) Santorum and Inhofe would hand this country straight over to the Christian extremists. They can’t see that radical Islam is that same as radical Christianity. When religion and government become one in the same, anything is justifiable if they say “God said it”.

I agree. Separating religion from State has been a core principal of our political system since it's inception. That principal means little to nothing to the religious though.

I have nothing against people practicing their religion, but when people like Santorum or Inhofe are in positions of power, people who are extremely religious, they can't separate their beliefs while governing.

Mild religious beliefs are not really an issue, as most people can usually agree on mild issues, but strong (extreme) beliefs can only lead to inappropriate governing. The result of having too strong a religious belief and coming into political power is that one belief infringes on the rights of another's.

Inhofe's reciting of bible passages to counter global warming claims is a good example of why the extremely religious need to kept from positions of power. His opinion is acceptable in church... but not in politics. In politics, reason trumps religion... or at least it should.

One hell of a hoax. You have to be impressed and amazed at how the vast majority of scientists, universities, and think tanks all over the world along with the research and analysis they have produced are part of one coordinated effort to put one over on us. And to think that this vast nefarious undertaking has been unmasked and demolished by the proper interpretation of the writings of a pack of semi-educated religious nut cases with an agenda who were active at the time of the early Caesars along with the ramblings of some Bronze Age tribal shamans who preceded them. Laus Deo.
