Not like we cant already predict the outcome of most...I have to admit mine was dead on. Well, that explains alot.... pretty dead center Libertarian here. I can't argue with the description. Notice Moen has made a comment, but hasn't actually posted his own results. I like imagining that he's taken the test like seven times... googled the answers even, but seven times straight he's gotten the hidden easter egg result of "you are Rush Limbaugh"
Libertarian. But there is a problem with this quiz and others like it. The assumption is made that the "free trade" label is to the right and protectionism is to the left. However, this is somewhat backwards in that 75 years ago what we now call "free trade", which in practice is actually a form of mercantilism, was considered left and what we now call protectionism, which refers to an economic system that was advocated by economic freedom devotees such as Adam Smith, was considered to be to the right. So I'm not sure that the left-right label as presently defined in quizzes such as this one has the meaning that it intends to convey. Words have evolved muddled definitions in this age of confusion.
Have to love these simple quizzes that are designed to "peg" people where someone already wants them to be. My answers call me a centrist with liberal and statist leanings. Considering the limited number of questions and the very limited responses, it was predictable where I would fall. However, the findings do not really describe me adequately as I am more business friendly than it appears. Oh well, fuel for more "discussions" here I guess. encil:
It's so easy to predict that you can pick the "leaning" you want by just assuming the various Left and Right positions. I got every type of political category I aimed for by just trying to answer the questions with the stereotyped political responses. I think it's more of test of stereotypes then actual political beliefs. It was fun to play with anyway. :goofer:
