It's just fun to watch the pundits today

Yes even Fox! I love this aftermath good and bad because it shows who these people really are. The asshats are extra asshat-like and the people that have been vindicated are as happy as they can be. I'm having a great day. :)

Now, the work really begins. The balance of power remains the same as it has for the last two years. Obama has refused to work with the conservative House and I don't see that changing anytime soon (unless he moves toward the middle). If he remains far left, we're going to experience the same quagmire and gridlock we've had all this time. The only thing he accomplished was Obamacare and that was shoved down the country's throat and a majority of people are still against it. I can't blame them. Not only is it a legislative piece of crap, but it was one of the most partisan pieces of legislation to ever get passed.

We live in a completely divided country today. Unless our president decides to become more moderate and tries to unite the country, we will remain divided along party lines. That's not a good thing. It's not good for the president. It's not good for Congress. And it's not good for the people, especially.

The 2010 mid-term elections should have been a wake-up call for Obama like it was for Bill Clinton, respectively. So far, it hasn't been, but we will see what the future holds. If Obama refuses to budge on his liberal agenda, it will probably mean that the House and Senate will pick up conservative members in 2014 perhaps altering the balance of power in favor of the conservatives. If Obama is a wise man, he already knows this and will change. That's going to piss off a lot of liberals, but it will be better for the country.

You need to get a grip dude. Seriously.

You have harped this "Obama needs to cross the aisle" argument big time lately.

When President Obama was elected the FIRST time this was exactly what the Republicans were set on. NOT crossing the aisle that is.

ONE AND DONE remember that? I hope so. It was your signature line for some time after all. A great showing of cooperating for the good of American people. NOT!!!

Now it's two and done. Deal with it. Instead of whining maybe BOTH parties need to compromise. The Republicans need to make the first move.

Or is that concept too hard to understand?

When Obama was FIRST elected, it didn't matter whether the Republicans wanted to cross the aisle or not. They weren't even invited. Remember, Obama passed Obamacare without Republican input. He couldn't have cared less about reaching across the aisle at that time and he proved it.

Conservatives disagree with nearly everything Obama proposes. For good reason. Less jobs, higher unemployment and higher debt are several good reasons to have given him only one term (the NDAA and Benghazi, too but that's another story). But, c'est la vie. I'm not crying over spilled milk. What's done is done. We'll see if Obama has the leadership qualities in him this time that were so sorely lacking in his first term.

Not at all. In fact, John Boehner reached out today to Obama with this:

House Speaker John Boehner offered Wednesday to pursue a deal with a victorious President Barack Obama that will include higher taxes "under the right conditions" to help reduce the nation's staggering debt and put its finances in order.
"Mr. President, this is your moment," Boehner told reporters, speaking about the "fiscal cliff" that will hit in January. "We want you to lead."
That's a hell of a far cry from Harry Reid saying that if Romney had been elected, the Senate wouldn't work with him. Now just WHO is willing to work for a better America and who isn't?

We certainly DO live in a divided country today. Fat cat outsourcing republicans just got told to take a hike despite all of their cash and their lies. Excuse me but...Obama should move to the right??? Not the other way around huh? OMFG!!!

We live divided...I think we need to keep it that way....right wingers are completely whacked.

I hope Obama, if he's learned absolutely nothing else, is that trying to cater to the right is a huge waste of time. The Romney outsourcer lost. Thank God.
