Laugh at this... POLITICS 20% Of Trump Supporters Regret We Freed The Slaves, Think Whites Are Superior Race ByColin Taylor Posted on February 24, 2016 It’s very clear that Donald Trump has found huge success by blaming minorities for all of our nations’ woes, tapping into the undercurrent of racism that pulses throughout the American people and shoving its ugliness into the mainstream of American politics. But an alarming new poll reveals that the fault doesn’t entirely lie with the abrasive business tycoon – it lies within all of us. Analysis by the New York Times of a national YouGov/Economist poll combined with a Public Policy Poll of South Carolina primary voters found that a shocking 20% of Trump supporters found that disagreed with the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed all the slaves following the end of the American Civil War. 21% agreed that “whites were a superior race,” 70% wish the Confederate flag still flew above the statehouse, and 38% of them wish the South had won the Civil War. 1/3 of Trump backers support banning LGBTQ people from entering the United States; 41% approve of banning non-citizen Muslims from entering the United States. But at the end of the day, as the New York Times notes, “he isn’t persuading voters to hold these beliefs. The beliefs were there — and have been for some time. Mr. Trump has reinvigorated explicit appeals to ethnocentrism, and some voters are responding.” For all the mainstream media and Washington establishment’s frustration with the phenomenon of Trumpmania, it’s very easy to understand. Ever since the 1960s, the American conservatism has used the politics of racial division to win white votes and disenfranchise minorities. For example, the National Review, which compiled recentlycompiled a collection of Against Trump essays, asked in the 1960s if whites were “entitled to take such measures as are necessary to prevail, politically and culturally, in areas in which it does not predominate numerically? The sobering answer is Yes—the White community is so entitled because for the time being, it is the advanced race…In the Deep South the Negroes are, by comparison with the whites, retarded.” Since then, the constant GOP appeals to working class whites, scapegoating of minorities and decades of insinuated white supremacy have born a poisonous fruit that is going to destroy the Republican Party from within. They will not be missed.
Well, what is your reasoning for calling Ted Cruz delusional? He happens to be the most sensible candidate for president. Then again, being sensible is alien to government idoliters.
In case you missed it, local media outed these guys as "counter protestors". They were local (black) activists who were sent to embarrass Trump. Wa wa waaaaaaaa
Not surprising that the dims planted these guys to embarrass Trump. Remember when the dimocrat party of SC had to apologize to Nikki Haley for starting stories that she was having an affair? Or the plants at the Tea Party events? Disgusting.
moron joe- The picture you posted was a hoax! How stupid do you feel? You got played, you idiot. Bet you wish you'd ordered iqless to post that one, huh? Stupid!
Really? http://www.snopes.com/donald-trump-kkk-supporters/ I have no idea if these two people were Trump supporters nor did I claim they were. They could have been two people trolling Trump but trolling Trump with the truth apparently. KKK Leader Finds Donald Trump a Great Recruiting Too Dec. 21, 2015 (Photo by Ralph Freso/Getty Images)Donald Trump waves to the crowd as he arrives at a campaign event at the International Air Response facility on Dec. 16 in Mesa, Arizona. “They like that he’s not willing to back down" Donald Trump is inspiring white supremacists, according to a national organizer of a leading Ku Klux Klan group — and his candid rhetoric is being used to recruit more of them. The KKK is using the Republican presidential frontrunner as an outreach tool, Rachel Pendergraft, the national membership coordinator for the Knights Party, told The Washington Post. Trump’s candidacy, which has been characterized by often divisive nativist rhetoric, has “electrified” some members, the newspaper reported Monday. “They like the overall momentum of his rallies and his campaign,” Pendergraft said. “They like that he’s not willing to back down. He says what he believes and he stands on that.” The KKK organizer said the group uses the headlines Trump makes to start conversations with separatists about issues that are important to the white supremacist movement. “One of the things that our organization really stresses with our membership is we want them to educate themselves on issues, but we also want them to be able to learn how to open up a conversation with other people,” Pendergraft said. http://time.com/4156821/donald-trump-kkk/
Clearly, the KKK is on-board the Trump train. Former KKK Grand Wizard Urges Followers to Vote for Donald Trump to Protect Legacy of Racism BY TRACE WILLIAM COWEN Image via Gage Skidmore Donald Trump has received a public co-sign from former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, yet another show of support from a troubling source. With Trump's recent victories in Nevada and South Carolina, the former reality TV star's stranglehold over the Republican party was only strengthened. "We won with poorly educated," Trump bragged during his victory speech in Nevada before delivering the following gem to uproarious applause: "I love the poorly educated." Though it's easy to laugh at the obvious ridiculousness of such a statement (Trump is—after all—bragging about the intellectual shortcomings of his own supporters), and even easier to compare our current state of affairs tounintentional documentary Idiocracy, something far more sinister than mere dumbness is afoot among some Trump enthusiasts. "Voting against Donald Trump at this point is really treason to your heritage," David Duke, a former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and current host of the David Duke Radio Program, told his listeners on Wednesday. Though he adds that he is not "formally" endorsing Trump, BuzzFeed News reports that Duke is calling on his followers to actively engage with the Trump campaign as a "strategic action" to ensure the continuation of people like Duke and what they represent. "When this show’s over, go out, call the Republican Party, but call Donald Trump’s headquarters, volunteer," Duke told listeners, as quoted by BuzzFeed. According to Duke, his listeners will easily encounter people with "the same kind of mindset" once they start actively participating in Trump's campaign. As for what sort of "mindset" Duke is likely referencing, one need look no further thanthe Southern Poverty Law Center's breakdown of the notorious white nationalist's egregious history of oppression: "David Duke is the most recognizable figure of the American radical right, a neo-Nazi, longtime Klan leader and now international spokesman for Holocaust denial who has nevertheless won election to Louisiana's House of Representatives and once was nearly elected governor." Just so we're entirely clear here, Trump's campaign has a man like that—a vehement racist like David Duke—excited enough to fervently issue a request to his followers to throw their energy into ensuring Trump's election. Sadly, as several polls and even just a cursory glance at social media have shown, many of Trump's supporters have already received the message.
Mein Kampf contains the blueprint of later Nazi propaganda efforts. Assessing his audience, Hitler writes in chapter VI: "Propaganda must always address itself to the broad masses of the people. (...) All propaganda must be presented in a popular form and must fix its intellectual level so as not to be above the heads of the least intellectual of those to whom it is directed. (...) The art of propaganda consists precisely in being able to awaken the imagination of the public through an appeal to their feelings, in finding the appropriate psychological form that will arrest the attention and appeal to the hearts of the national masses. The broad masses of the people are not made up of diplomats or professors of public jurisprudence nor simply of persons who are able to form reasoned judgment in given cases, but a vacillating crowd of human children who are constantly wavering between one idea and another. (...) The great majority of a nation is so feminine in its character and outlook that its thought and conduct are ruled by sentiment rather than by sober reasoning. This sentiment, however, is not complex, but simple and consistent. It is not highly differentiated, but has only the negative and positive notions of love and hatred, right and wrong, truth and falsehood. In other words, Trump has taken Hitler's words to heart and is appealing to the poorly educated masses. He loves them. It is very hard to argue that this isn't exactly what Trump is doing.
You idiotic stooge! How does it feel knowing you were duped by your own party? I think the name they have for people like you is "useful idiot"! Stupid.
So I'm stuck with the most experienced, qualified candidate in several modern presidential elections. I feel just just terrible.
How was I duped? If anything, and keep in mind, you have no idea who these people were, if anything, Trump was trolled with the truth of his supporters as I clearly demonstrated with the KKK's own words. Sorry if that flies in the face of your stupid talking point. It's because you're stupid.
In a sane society, your comment would land you in the loony bin. I think at least half this population has lost their mind, especially you!
Thanks for explaining that so articulately. You are clearly an intellectual legend if only to the basement dwelling critters you live with.
Please remove that Nazi impersonating Donald Trump! This is the most offensive thing here at Partisan Lines, and that s saying a lot with characters like IHopeless1 here.
