As we all are aware the face of the world is changing dramatically every year with the population explosion and international travel at our fingertips. This question has caused a bit on controversy as you might expect on another thread. Do you support Interracial Marriage (across the board) regardless of who gets married. Also, you must consider the advantages or hardships the children of such a union might face while growing up?

Now the kicker, please post your middle of the road answers like "Oh it really depends on who the adults are, etc..." in the developing thread.

A simple "Yes I support it", or a "No I'm against it."

Sorry Ben but I dont see any problem with who marries who & over here it dont seem to be a problem other than to a few (White & Black & Brown) If two people love each other then good luck to them say I :thumb:

Ps I should also say I dont Support & I dont Disagree with it, as it is not my decision to make

Some times it seems a little strange to me, but I have to say it doesn't bother me.
I guess I would rather see a mixed marriage that works than a common one that doesn't.

I agree, the United States has a long way to go just to match the 'Equal Rights Environment" one might encounter in the UK.

It's not so much the equal rights as people over here are more likely to get upset if for example you marry into the wrong Football (Soccer) team!! Sounds crazy I know but I knew a couple one family supported Liverpool & the other Everton, the wedding was like walking into a enforced peace negotiations, people would sidle up and ask who do you support then LOL I confused most of them by saying I was a Rugby supporter LOL
And to be honest I have a great deal of personal difficulty in seeing what on earth the colour of someones skin has to do with anything, over the years I have known and served with people of all colours and for the most part have found them nice people, some I trusted with my life. Now I am purty sure that if I can trust someone with my life I could trust them to marry my sister (with the odd exception LOL)

never should a mixed marriage be allowed between a numismatist and a non-numismatist,its just not right.

sorry, bad attempt at humor. i think people worry too much about what other people do.

Here interreligious marriages really aren't a problem where as in Northern Ireland a Catholic and Protestant wedding might bring out a SWAT Team...

Now that is unfortunatly true, and as a side note Today most of the Brittish troops stationed in Ulster are on the way home, the responsibility for security has been handed back to the police & the watch towers are coming down :smile

Very Interesting. Religion, such a silly reason to fight a war. And, they both (Catholic and Protestant) believe in and follow the teachings of Christ...

Yes. People need mind own business, and be with who make happy.

I can't vote on this one either way-- I neither support or oppose it.

Oppose it: obvious reason why not
Support: That means that you are in favor of it.
Silly me, but I thought that you should get married if you are in love-- not to support an ideal.

I imagine that there would be VERY few married numismatists if this were the way we all felt, lol.

    agreed with both 9roswell & The_Cave_Troll.
I kind of have gotten accustomed to my wife & kids-- and they can't stand my coin collecting or collection of books.
But, they have learned to ignore me.

Sorry I had to do that.
My wife has learned to turn off her hearing aids to ignore me.;)

No, I don't really support the concept of earthlings marrying extraterrestrians. Other than that ... The poll is a joke, right? ;)

poorly worded poll...you dont have to support it not to have a problem with it.

then again...if we allow different races to marry....whats next? people getting married to dogs? goats? where will it end?!?!

I prefer to presume that you are kidding.
Actually-- I refuse to believe otherwise.

Since to consider the alternative (that you meant the above) is too seriously obscene for words.

Dru, I suggested the idea of the poll to you earlier and you didn't act. One thing I was taught not to do is criticize the job someone else has done when I had the opportunity to do it first and either failed or declined. It's called being NO NAME CALLING

The term used is a local Texas colloquial term for an act of usurping or underhandedness. Steve, If you'll notice I initially posted *asterisks where the 2nd word was.
