SCARBOROUGH: "Exactly. That is exactly what I hear. What Yamiche said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to who were Trump voters and are still Trump supporters. They go, 'Yeah you guys are going crazy. He's doing -- what are you so surprised about? He is doing exactly what he said he is going to do.'" BRZEZINSKI: "Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job."
I never did like Morning Joe, or FOX News, or the media controlling the information we receive. republicans love to point out the stupid comments on other news networks, but tend to ignore the lies FOX News spews out on a regular basis. This thread is an example of republican bias, and my response is an example of acknowledging the attempts of all news media to mold the opinions of the average citizen The best tool to fight such misinformation, the deliberate attempt to mold our opinions, is critical thinking, something republicans actively seek to prevent in our society. They want idiotic citizens, people who are easy to mold, people who are easy to control. The teaching of critical thinking, defined as "the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment," is not welcomed, is not encouraged by republicans. They see it as a means for "liberals" to distort children's minds, to make them rebel against republican beliefs. In other words, republicans want to define reality as a certain set of beliefs that run counter to logic, to reasoned thought. True, all media, including liberal programming selects what message it wants to convey to it's audience, but liberals do not discourage critical thinking, republicans do.
Boy, have you got that backward D'IQless1 . . . Oh, esteemed member of the party of unintended consequences. The only thing liberals have to do with critical thinking is watching while conservatives put it into action. .
Just look at your posts and the answer should be obvious. But my comment had to do with your "out thinking".
Conservatism is born of thinking . . . wastefulness is the result of not thinking. By the way, the modern definition of conservatism is the result of massaging by left-leaners, not describing conservative principles, but progressively mis-characterizing republican goals. .
