this is the freedumb the magaidiots talk about A police officer was shot and killed in New Orleans during a dispute over mask requirements at a high school basketball game. Police said 35-year-old John Shallerhorn tried to enter George Washington Carver High School's gymnasium Friday about 6:15 p.m. for a playoff game against Warren Easton High when he was stopped by an employee who was checking temperatures and enforcing a mask mandate, reported NOLA.com. Shallerhorn fought with the school employee before Martinus Mitchum, a Tulane University police officer and 2nd City Court deputy constable who was working for the school as a security guard, tried to break up the altercation. The 38-year-old Mitchum was escorting Shallerhorn off the campus when the man allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the officer twice, police said. This is absolutely unacceptable. This anti-masker should be punished with the fullest and legally harshest possible extent of the law.
Should be but will he? Here's what scares me about this. At the local grocery store it's the regular employees that have to tell people to mask up. Usually it's the baggers and most of them are probably in their early 20's or younger. Heck, high schoolers. There's no security to back them up.
You're probably right. This guy doesn't seem to be political in either direction. Just a real asshole. This is him being kicked out of a casino just hours before the shooting.
After reviewing that video, I feel differently. At 5:03 in the video he states, " . . . there's no such thing as private . . . there's no such thing as ownership . . ." That's an obvious reference to the socialist-progressive viewpoint. I don't know where he gets his news from, but it certainly isn't from anyone who knows / respects the law in America. What bothers me more is that he chose to go home, or wherever, and get a gun to take to a public place where there was a masking requirement he knew he would not comply with. That was not accidental. Would the police have been accused of racial discrimination if they'd arrested him at the casino and jailed him? Perhaps, but they'd have saved a life. Did acquiescence to political correctness cost that officer his life? Quite possibly, and it's too late to change that.
Oh really? Then explain to me why he chose to leave his gun at home when he went to the casino, instead of asserting his right to carry it inside.
I wouldn't put too much stock in the words this guy drizzled past his lips. He wasn't playing with an entire deck in my opinion. I don't know if it was mental health, drugs, or desperation. His behavior reminds me of schizophrenia where he goes on high energy binges and does and says whatever comes into his head. Clearly his behavior escalated during the afternoon and evening to the point of murder. There is probably a ton of background we'll never hear about.
