You can't control everyone in your ranks but you can control whether or not they are in your ranks. Cough.. Cough... Matt Gaetz.

Joe Biden Calls On New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo To Resign
The president’s remarks came after an independent investigation found that Cuomo had sexually harassed multiple women.

President Joe Biden called on New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) to resign Tuesday after an explosive report concluded that Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women.

“I think he should resign,” Biden said at a press conference. He said he had not spoken to Cuomo ahead of calling for him to resign.

New York state Attorney General Letitia James released a 165-page report on Cuomo Tuesday, the work an independent investigation into harassment claims.

James said the investigation found that Cuomo “sexually harassed current and former New York State employees by engaging in unwelcome and non-consensual touching and making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women.”

Investigators also concluded that Cuomo and his senior team retaliated against one accuser.

Shortly after Biden’s remarks, New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie said the governor had “lost the confidence” of the legislative body’s Democrats, and “can no longer remain in office.” Potential impeachment proceedings against Cuomo would begin in the state assembly.

Cuomo was defiant Tuesday. He recorded a statement ― allowing for no questions from reporters ― making clear he intends to stay in office and fight the allegations, which he denied. He portrayed himself as a feminist hero and a champion of women, claiming that his concern and caring nature were just misunderstood.

Matt Gaetz - still serving in Congress/committees
Roy Moore - endorsed by the president
Donald Trump - got elected president, gained cult following

Joe Biden - hasn't done anything
Anthony Wiener - forced to resign
Al Franken - forced to resign
    Bill Clinton - impeached/disgraced
Cuomo - about to be forced to resign

    Seeing the pattern here?

I had the misfortune of watching Fox reporting on this yesterday.
    They really tore into him.

No problem there he deserved it but did they happen to mention that Democrats have been telling him to step down since the story broke? Of course not.

Just like they haven't mentioned anything concerning Gaetz amongst others and how the Republican party is treating the situation. Maybe because Democrats address these situations whereas Republicans turn a blind eye.

    Funny how that works.

I wouldn't be too quick to enact frontier justice. After all, those of us in the older generation were held to a different set of standards. Many of us are probably here today because standards were so different a generation ago. When you spend a lifetime thinking one way, it is difficult to not allow yourself to slip into that rabbit hole when you are aged. And besides, there are plenty on the left that have walked the libido tightrope. LBJ was quick to point out that he carried out more affairs than JFK. It was a mantle of pride to them. And we can't forget old lusty Bill and his cigars, can we?...... There is a new standard at play these days and while it does appear that Cuomo was a serial predator to some degree, we are still in America and as such are innocent until proven guilty.

@JoeNation, @FryDaddyJr, @GeneWright. Before y’all thump your chests and plant your flag on the moral high ground, can you please tell us The (or Your) standard(s) for sexual harassment/rape accusations against political figures. Seems like there’s differing opinions/applications. I’ll go first. Every accusation should be investigated and if the preponderance of evidence shows potential criminal wrongdoing then they should be adjudicated and given their do process. I’ll go a step further, all accusations that are investigated and found to be false, the accuser(s) should also be adjudicated and given their do process. Each party should be held accountable according to the law. This should also apply to every individual on US soil.

I pretty much agree with you. As a public figure though, if an investigation comes back and shows potential criminal wrongdoing (as with Cuomo), they have a responsibility to their constituents to stop representing them if that is their will.

toughcoins Rarely is the liberal viewpoint tainted by realism

Yeah . . . "This is how Democrats handle party members that sexually harass women"

There are exceptions, of course, but in contrast with their expectation that Republicans bow to the court of public opinion, swayed by their liberal media machine, Democrats generally wait a whole lot longer to pressure members of their party enough to step down . . . waiting until a legal body conducts an official investigation, and until evidence seems incontrovertible, as in this case.

I’ll pretty much agree with this sediment. I applaud you for your response, yet you didn’t answer all the questions. Of course, I’m not surprised by the others lack of response.
