Facebook essentially admits partisanship in court

Seeing Stossel’s shift over the years has been interesting. Lots of interesting videos, he puts out.

 

By favorably employing left-leaning and non-profit organizations to be third party arbiters, FaceBook is unduly influencing the “objectivity” exercised in making the decisions it claims are not it’s own.

I appealed a ban Facebook gave me some time ago. Within seconds it was denied and my ban was lengthened from 3 days to 30.

they had gone back to a post from 2016(!)
my assumption was it was just them looking at me because I had the gall to report.

I went to the third-party “oversight board”
Never got a reply. What a shame.

Typical lefty response to this will be “make your own Facebook” (eye roll)

 

What was the content of the post you got banned for?

 

Originally, and this will certainly sound stupid,

but it was a picture of a midget with a ton of gold chains and jewelry. I made a joke about picking him up and walking away.

that was the three day.

the 30 day was in a private group between me and friends. It was a lewd joke - just the fact it was revived 5 years later is concerning.

 

You either got caught by an algorithm or more likely with the private message, one of your friends has something against you and reported your post recently.

 

Conservatives . . . enemies of the left-leaning algorithms.

 

Take note his bans were due apolitical content, and really don't have relevance to the article of the thread.

 

That was only my most recent ban. I remember one that was political but Facebook won't let me go back to see the post that was flagged. I know once I got a 24 hour for 'transphobia'

considering my Facebook is wholly political - and that the post from 5 years ago was revived, I can only assume that they were going back to find something to nail me on. That would not be a new tactic for these tech companies.
