How many days did the burning and looting take place before the national guard came in?

Your, and the leftist support of Waltz is a gift. VP’s rarely help or hurt in the process but this is an exception. This choice solidifies the fact that Kamala is far left (Bernie/ Waltz) of the Democratic Party the fence riders will…

They're like, the lightest possible nod to the left. I've been saying for years they should actually go left though. The type who strongly supported Hillary in 2016 and Biden in 2020 were always going to "vote blue no matter who"

It's way more important to use someone who actually appeals to the youth and motivates them

    “there’s a golden rule,
    mind your own business.”

    In other words,

    “never mind my interest in
controlling how you live your life.”

I was there, the response was swift and thorough. You may not have known from the "safety of the suburbs" though. I remember the national guard while tough as nails was actually compassionate and acted as a calming force. At least relative to the trigger happy and chaotic riot police who couldn't control a thing.

Perhaps you struggle with linear passage of time? From your article, national guard aid was requested on the 27th, they were moving out on the 28th

Perhaps I chose the wrong article, but there are many out there that say the same thing.

George Floyd died on May 25th. Walz did not fully mobilize the National Guard until May 30th. Sure, 600 troops were sent earlier, but they were nothing against a crowd like that.

Were you in the thick of it? I wasn’t but have a brother in law who is in the guard and was part of the first wave. My brother works at corporate Target, which happened to be a target.

So you are doubling down on socialism? If I remember correctly, you admitted to being a SFN? Right? It’s obvious that that those who believe like you are the reason Venezuela is the way it is now. They had free crap why didn’t you move there?

Ah moving the goalposts. Riots didn't even start properly until the 27th, national guard was mobilized on the 28th.

I could smell the fires and hear people yelling wildly from my house all through the night, there was no retreating to the suburbs after work. It stopped hard when Walz and the national guard came in with (relative to the riot police) order and de-escalation of violence.

I moved somewhere with many policies you guys routinely call "socialist"

It's great, and safer than I've ever felt. Nowhere is a utopia, but it's maddening that any potential improvements to the U.S. are decried as socialism.

Edit: added a word to clarify for the less perceptive amongst us

Dance little Gene, this day is for you. Two people you love stood up to say I Do.
I’m proud you feel safe next to NK with this administration in charge. I wonder how long that will last if your favorites end up in power.

One thing I really appreciated from the rally was that a couple times the crowd started "lock him up" chants organically. When that happened, both Harris and Walz shut them down and redirected it to a positive and uniting message.

Trump runs on a message of fear and malice, Harris and Walz are trying to run on compassion and positivity. I hope they keep it up, it's refreshing after the exhaustion of both sides fear mongering over the other for years

I don’t think there is a democrat left in the country today who is saying “It’s Walz yay!”

    Do you still say “yay”?
