A lot of 'hazing' (civilian or military) often sounds worse than it actually is. But, if it is true about the videos, I think there should have been court martials and discharges.

Another way to give some here second thoughts about the military is to take the President's idea and go do some service work. Try volunteering at a VA hospital. Trust me, they are always taking volunteers. For something even better, try some service work at a nursing home unit of a VA hospital.

Pick your war, meet these guys, wheel them around, talk to them, spend time with them. It may or may not influence your view of the military but you can always pass it off as service work for your President if it doesn't.

I dont see how this could happen. You do not have to follow those kinds of orders. Under the UCMJ thses kinds of things are illegal. If these sailors did this kind of crap, then they wanted to do them. And the military does not go after homos with attack dogs. Pure BS.

Yea, I read the story. And again I say BS. You have you be some kind of wuss to either not report it or tell the CPO to shove it. The kid mustve gone through basic training. He knows that he cant be forced to do something he thinks is ethically wrong. What a loser.
