Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick on HBO's "The Black List Vol. 2"

Has anyone seen this? Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick (D) was on a HBO special earlier this year...I could only find a clip of his interview but it looks pretty interesting. Here's the link, what do you think?

You need to get out more if you think that clip was interesting. I watched it three times. The longest I went before falling asleep was 41 seconds.

I don't hear much about Gov Patrick but wasn't he the one from whom Obama "borrowed" major portions of his speeches?

 

He sounds like a nice guy from that clip

 

Sorry but I would have to say, as I grew up in MA that if you think he or any Gov from MA sounds like a nice guy then Jimmy Huffa was a saint.

I believe that I said he sounds like a nice guy, I dont believe that I said he was a nice guy. I do not have personal experiance of the guy. I also assume that it will depend on your political preffrences as to what you think of him.
But would you care to tell me what he has done that places him in the same league as Jimmy Hoffa?

 

It is not him personally, but the entire politcal spectrum in MA. When everyone thought that Kerry was going to win the presidencial election Kennedy got them to pass a law that they had to hold a special election in MA to replace any Senators vacant seat. This was because at the time the Gov of MA was a Reb by the name of Mitt Romney if I am not mistaken. And of course a Reb would pick a Reb to fill the seat. So they passed the law stateing that the Gov could not pick someone to fill the seat but 6 weeks after a Senate seat became vacant a special election would be held to fill that seat. Now we come to present day. Just before his death Kennedy wrote a letter to the Senate/house leaders in MA asking them to overturn this law because he was afraid the people would not elect a Dem to fill his seat after he had passed, and being the good little sheep that they are, they in fact over turned this law so that the Gov can appoint a temp replacement to fill Kennedys seat.
So yes I a am very tainted towards anything or anyone having anything to do with the MA political system encluding Mitt Romney a Reb.

On a side note, while serving in the Navy, I filed my taxes, and when I was done, I found out that I had to pay more in state taxes then in federal taxes (got a refund from federal owed in state taxes) when I owned nothing in the state except my claim I was from there, I figured it was time to change that.
