You completely ignore my question and ask another question in place of an answer. Why do you have such a hard time answering a direct question but expect people to bend over backwards answering yours? Now, how many pieces of legislation do I have to point out that Obama couldn't get passed before you admit that you were wrong? Here is the answer to your question. Now man up and answer my question. Oh wait a minute, this proves my point and make your post nothing but another lie. Republicans Block Key Component Of Obama Jobs Bill Senate blocks $60 billion infrastructure plan, another part of Obama U.S. Senate Shelves Obama's $447 Billion Job Creation Program Third Obama jobs bill blocked in Senate Republicans in the Senate blocked legislation Senate Republicans on Monday blocked President Barack Obama's "Buffett Rule " legislation Senate GOP Blocking Obama Nominees In Attempt To Delay Health Care And Climate Legislation This answers you question better than I could.... http://crooksandliars.com/jon-perr/republicans-unprecedented-obstructionism-by-numbers

The Republican PartyThe best political party money can buy! 3 Do you really believe that Obama is getting his money one dollar at a time from little old ladies, kids collecting soda cans and average joes? You know obama had 3/4 of a billion last election and this one could be over a billion. " Barack Obama raised roughly $750 million from donors, surpassing all of his White House opponents this year and also eclipsing the total amount of money raised by all of the presidential candidates combined in 2004".http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story?id=6397572&page=1Maybe it is treasonous to knowingly have foreign governments partially finance a presidential campaign whose interests include weakening our nation.
Plus 2% independents who voted 100% anti-Republican. By my math, 58 + 2 = 60. The fact that the democrats could not keep all 58 in Congress all the time is no fault of the Republicans.
I do somewhat agree that the GOP has been hijacked. Gone are the days of Reagan and nationalism. There is no doubt that profit maximization has seeped into the very soul of what is the foundation of America. With that being said if the GOP is peanut butter, than the left = Jelly. The left is equally as sad because they drain our resources without replenishment. A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy ~ Alexander Frasen Tytler
Hello and welcome to Partisan Lines, JCB1983. Interesting quote you have used there, with a very interesting history. Making an admittedly very generous assumption that the quote is attributed accurately, one might be forgiven for surmising that Alexander Fraser Tytler (aka Lord Woodhouselee) was a monarchist.
Interesting quote which I reply. Obama has a cult of personality following mixed with people who believe in the democratic party as a leftist religion and supported by outside the border money or people with ties to such so yes I think our leaders are becoming more like puppets but they will not be kings for they are puppets to the Saudi Royal Family henceforth the monarchy to your quote's ending.
Hey JCB1983! I would have to disagree with the author(s) of those sentiments because it isn't the majority that has discovered it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury nearly as much as it has been the wealthy uppermost minority that has been the main culprits here not so much voting themselves a largess but moreover corrupting the political system to favor themselves exclusively. Clearly the majority isn't thriving today as the ranks of the poor swell and the middle class dwindles. The only constant has been that the "haves" have more and more. I just don't think that the author could have or did take into account the corrosive influences of laissez-faire capitalism and the greed that goes along with it. Look up the 2 Santa Claus' theory and tell me who the real drain on our resources has been.
Am I missing something here, or what? This graph shows the last time the Democrats had 60 or more seats in the Senate. It was in the late 70s. Or are you people talking about the period of time from July 7th, 2009, when Al Franken was sworn in to August 26, 2009, when Ted kennedy died? True, for about a month and a half the Democrats had 60 votes. Are you actually suggesting though that all items on the Democratic "agenda" could have been passed in that short period of time? (scoffs) What an exaggeration!
