....it's fairly obvious. Seems he was asked about it on the Today Show and responded. Like what else would he do? Of course by answering this question it is obvious that it is MUCH more important to him than current issues such as unemployment, health care, foreign policy etc. OK, So why did I even start this thread? No brainer. To show just how stupid some of the threads are here. Cripes!!! I used three exclamation points in the title and three more just now! (four after that one). Not my style. Respond as you will or won't. Feel free to close it if you must DeOrc.
Now, if Ryan had said that he'd rather attend a fundraiser in Las Vegas the day after a US consulate was attacked and four Americans died, well, then I'd be worried.
So what do you think he should have been doing the day after the attack? Let us say he had attended a fundraiser what would have been wrong with that? he could have made A speech condemning the attack or asked those gathered to help set up a fund for the families of those killed. My point here is that the guy is not in the White house so he is limited to what he really could do, if he stayed at home some would say he was hiding, if he went to a collage game day then he could be said to be having fun!! If he raised questions in the House there are those who would accuse him of grandstanding! What should he do!
You are already buying into Romney's lies with this one. There was no fundraiser in Las Vegas the day after the attacks. There was a campaign rally in Las Vegas the next day but not a fundraiser as Romney claimed in the debate. Just another one of the lies you gullible people buy into. The low information voting populous = YOU! http://www.examiner.com/democrat-in-las-vegas/david-phillips This Wednesday September 12, 2012, President Barack Obama will make his 7th visit to Nevada this year. The President will be holding a campaign rally at Cashman Center which will start around 5:00 p.m
Fund Raiser. Campaign Rally. Fund Rally. Campaign Speech. Fund Speech. Rally Speech. Campaign Raiser. What does it really matter? Six of one, half a dozen of the other.
I thought you'd say that. A fundraiser is where Romney goes behind closed doors and calls half the people in the country lazy society sponges. A campaign rally is where Romney says things in public that are the exact opposite of what he says in private. Now if you want to find a video of Obama doing the same thing, you prove my point that a campaign rally is very different than a fundraiser. Romney's words: But I find more troubling than this, that on -- on the day following the assassination of the United States ambassador, the first time that's happened since 1979, when -- when we have four Americans killed there, when apparently we didn't know what happened, that the president, the day after that happened, flies to Las Vegas for a political fund-raiser, then the next day to Colorado for another event, other political event”, Romney said.
It's funny how you guys will parse the words "act of terror" in the Rose Garden as meaning what you want them to mean but then parse the words "fundraiser" and "campaign rally" as a meaningless difference. Too funny! You vacillate back and forth more than Romney does you perfectly lubricated weather vanes.
