Your version of history does not worth anything to those mexicans who have the only true version of history: Mexican aliens seek to retake 'stolen' land http://washingtontimes.com/national/20060416-122222-1672r.htm Mexicans migrate to 'their land' http://www.libertypost.org/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=137837 AND HERE IS THE CORRECT VERSION OF HISTORY WHICH MOST AMERICANS WISH TO IGNORE: FROM WIKIPEDIA: The Mexican-American War was fought between the United States and Mexico between 1846 and 1848. It is sometimes also known as Mr. Polk's War or the U.S. Invasion of Mexico. Its most important consequence was the Mexican Cession, or the resulting sale of the Mexican territories of California and New Mexico to the U.S. and the recognition of the annexation of Republic of Texas. The war coincided with a period of political turmoil in Mexico, and would lead to the American Civil War. I think we need to take off the "smart" in our "smart bomb" technology...we need better coverage for these type of people. Carpet bombing is a good start. After all, islamic radicals have no issue killing as many innocent as possible. All they are doing is FOLLOWING their quran literally...they are still living in the dark ages where this religion belongs.
The USA bought Louisiana from France, whom had only recently reacquired it from Spain, a country that had only ever had a tenous control over Louisiana after acquiring it from France at the end of the Seven Years War between France and Britain that ended in 1763. That area was largely only really had two European settled areas, Nouvelle Orleans in La Louisiane and St. Genevieve in Missouri. Curiously both of these cities were built on high ground in otherwise flood prone area, and when floods of epic purportions enveloped the environs of each respective area in 2005 and 1993 respectfully, the French districts were spared destruction. The whole Louisiana purchase thing for $3.2 Million worked fairly well for France, it was right profitable since it was only quite recently a reacquisition from Spain. The money funded France's wars against the monarchies of Europe.
The Book of Mormon would suggest that the Native Americans took it over from the Lost Tribes of Israel, settled in the New World. If you are into that sort of stuff that is.
Right again, as there are individuals within that faith that seem to believe the Native Americans may just be decendants of those 'lost tribes' of Israel. For the most part, an Indian is well thought of in the LDS faith.
You are probably right on the spelling as I usually refer to them in a much shorter form of only 5 letters. Around here it isn't about the spellinng, it's the communication and having the person being talked to, understand what you mean. Other than that, who really cares what you call them. Something else to think about, and that is someone might spell the place as "palestine" where as some others might spell it as "palestink". When it comes to spelling something, I'm sure you understand the meaning behind the spelling, now don't you?:kewl:
The Book of Mormon was a novel written by a clergyman! He was going to publish it but got sick and died before he could. Then Josie Smith came along and decided to start a religion off it, which got him and his brother killed by a mob, btw. http://home1.gte.net/dbroadhu/RESTOR/Lib/New1834a.htm http://home1.gte.net/dbroadhu/RESTOR/Lib/New1834a.htm http://www.mormonstudies.com/author4.htm http://www.lightplanet.com/mormons/response/qa/spaulding.htm
Hold your water there Willie! If you want to talk about genetics, then you might want to consider the fact that your DNA would indicate you are from the priverbial female dog, with a Arkansas Boar as sire. Now go and shave!:hammer:
The Native Americans are... Americans now... Islamy boy. Anyway, you say we colonized it by force? That's debatable, but even if we did, that means... they lost. To the victor's go the spoils. This whole thing with Native Americans and African Americans is ridiculous. The past is the past, we should look to the future, instead of always being in the past moaning about bad things people did back then. If you or anyone else thinks Americans are all going to leave so Indians or Blacks can take back their "land", then you are a complete moronic idiot... not that anyone was in doubt.
And very grammatically challenged also. "And so it came to pass that..." appears literally hundreds of times in this "novel". I remember the joy of an American merrily telling me that she found a well used copy of the "Book of Mormon" in a second hand bookstore in Moscow. I just couldn't contain my excitment:rolling:
Sometime when you get a free moment, read up on "Lighten and Brighten", how they are going to re-educate these lost children
You sure know a lot about American history for being so damn dumb. Your terminology is laughable. "THE CORRECT VERSION OF HISTORY" That is about as dumb a statement as has ever been used anywhere in this forum. You are obviously a person that believes in absolutes, religious and otherwise. You unceasingly post pasted text and downloaded pictures from contradicting sources peppered with your venomous personal opinions. Do you even have the ability to think for yourself anymore? Does your "book" so run your life that you have forgotten how to discern fact from fiction? I feel sorry for you and others that need such a regimented text in order to live your lives. Is it really so difficult to just be kind to others you meet, live without judgment, and respect the rights and beliefs of others without a book to tell you what to do every step of the way? You are probably thinking that you have encountered very little in the way of kindness, respect, and that you have been judged unfairly here and else where. You are undoubtedly correct is this assertion because there is certainly no shortage of that type of behavior in the world and here is no exception. Your attempts at proselytizing offend those of us that already feel attacked by your brothers and your religion. You seem to feel that if we somehow understood Islam’s message, we would feel as you do and see the truth and wisdom of your way of life. Unfortunately for your attempts we more often see the results of your style of religious practices and chose to believe our own eyes and not your version of the truth. You are left with the choice of sweeping us away or providing us with examples of Islam actually practicing what it preaches. You seem to favor the former rather than the latter and this comes through very clearly in your prose. So, No thanks, move along, there is nothing to convert here.
Moen, this is undoubtedly the best post that I have read here on this forum. It expresses the facts and does it without all the smoke and mirrors. I only hope it is accepted as something to help and not hinder.:thumb:
So far no one challenged what I posted about the THEFT of Mexican land by the Americans !! I wish more and more Mexicans will cross the desert to take back their land. ALLAH BLESS MEXICO
You just don't get it do you? Or are you that clueless? There were hardly any Mexicans in that whole territory, in fact there were more Americans, Brits and Russians there than Mexicans. It comes down to numbers and usage of the land. Mexico held the territory in title only, and not in practice. Right after the Mexican war they signed the Treaty of Hildago and then the Gadsen Purchase and sold more land along the borders of current day Arizona and New Mexico to the USA. Read my post above, the Mexicans invited the American settlers into Texas, and even gave them citizenship, in effect they gave Texas away. Unfortunately the Tsar did not feel that North America was too important, so Ft. Ross in California was sold to John Sutter of Sacramento, otherwise they would have had all that gold in the Sierra and a direct line in. Britain also had warships parked out in the Pacific, this because of a dispute with the USA over the Oregon Territory(54'40" or Fight!) and could have very easily have taken California. Only if gold had been discovered a mere six years prior. Timing, fortitude, luck, and determination and destiny were on the American's side in the best land acquisition since Russia acquired East Siberia.
You just ignore the information you can't respond to because your position is too often indefensible. It’s a pretty common chat room tactic you use with ease. How many points haven’t you responded to? Plenty!
Sorry, you are just wrong on this one (now if you put Native Americans into the picture you may be a bit closer).
And ya know what? A lot of those Mexicans are joining the U.S. military and are over in Iraq getting rid of some of your buddies. Actually I think the first American soldier to win the Silver Star in Iraq was hispanic. So actually the only land the Mexicans have taken so far... is yours!
And ya know what? A lot of those Mexicans are joining the U.S. military and are over in Iraq getting rid of some of your buddies. Actually I think the first American soldier to win the Silver Star in Iraq was hispanic. So actually the only land the Mexicans have taken so far... is yours!
It is a known way to more easily qualify for citizenship, serve in the USA military. Lots from Mexico, Panama, and the Phillipines have done just that. Maybe there is a solution to your military recruiting issue, make citizenship automatic after a completed service requirement and you will get good soldiers. I will add, a lot of Mexicans came over to your country legally over the past 70-80 years and indeed some of them deeply resent these new people coming in and wanting everything handed to them. These prior people came over the legal way, worked hard, paid their taxes, put up with discrimination sometimes, put their kids through colleges and became better Americans than the people that put them down. Viva los trabajodores muy bien de Mexico.
You are absolutely right Krasnaya, and the older Mexicans that are my age, are ususally very ashamed of the path this protest is going . They want nothing at all to do with it or it's organizers. The couple who live righ down the road from me are planning on throwing a big party and only inviting friends and associates who are NOT involved in this foolhardy venture. If invited, I would be proud to attend, as I count them as good neighbors and friends.
