I will say "he's a bit over the top..."

 

About 3 weeks ago I started to read his latest book entitled Somebody's Gotta Say It , but I found it to be a little too much for my taste.

 

I listened to this segment and he is right on the money. Where was he wrong??

Islam is only a "religion of peace" IF you submit and surrender yourself to their allah. AS for us infidels, there is a jihad order against us.

Always has...always will be.

That is what "true" islam is all about!

Speaking of Radio, I think the way Limbaugh is slappin Harry Ried around like a b i o t c h is awesome, he had it coming after trying to make a soapbox stunt out of something true that was taken out of context and twisted.

Also, wasn't Randy Rhodes attacked by some right wing hate group while out jogging? They were saying that it had been confirmed. Oh yeah, the police came out and said she had fallen down. No attack happened.

 

Anybody that takes these Right wing ratings hounds seriously has a screw loose. They will say whatever they have to to increase their audiences. I can't blame them for wanting to succeed at their chosen profession but at the same time I can't lend them any credibility by helping them spread their hateful message and their inherently false blanket condemnation of the millions of peaceful Muslims.

I wonder if this guy ever lets the callers finish a sentence. In all fairness, he isn't really looking for opinions or points of view, he is lecturing his audience and telling them what they should think. I know some folks like to be told what to think but it sort of goes against my nature. The Orwellian approach to mass media mind manipulation seems to have found it's time and it's gullible audience on the Right. Thinking for yourself isn't a requirement these days but some of us still prefer to do so anyway.

You know what drives millions upon millions muslims to outrage, right?? OK ... let's do a little historical review. Just some lowlights from all the "peaceful" muslims that apologists defend:

- - Muslim officials block the exit where school girls are trying to escape a burning building because their faces were exposed. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims cut off the heads of three teenaged girls on their way to school in Indonesia. A Christian school. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims murder teachers trying to teach Muslim children in Iraq. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims murder over 80 tourists with car bombs outside cafes and hotels in Egypt. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims attack a missionary children's school in India. Kills six. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims slaughter hundreds of children and teachers in Beslan, Russia. Muslims shoot children in the back. No Muslim outrage.

- - Let's go way back. Muslims kidnap and kill athletes at the Munich Summer Olympics. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims fire rocket-propelled grenades into schools full of children in Israel. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims murder more than 50 commuters in attacks on London subways and busses. Over 700 are injured. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims massacre dozens of innocents at a Passover Seder. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims murder innocent vacationers in Bali. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslim newspapers publish anti-Semitic cartoons. No Muslim outrage

- - Muslims are involved, on one side or the other, in almost every one of the 125+ shooting wars around the world. No Muslim outrage.

- - Muslims beat the charred bodies of Western civilians with their shoes, then hang them from a bridge. No Muslim outrage.

- - Newspapers in Denmark and Norway publish cartoons depicting Mohammed. Muslims are now outraged.

Dead children. Dead tourists. Dead teachers. Dead doctors and nurses. Death, destruction and mayhem around the world at the hands of Muslims .. no Muslim outrage ... but publish a cartoon depicting Mohammed with a bomb in his turban and all hell breaks loose.

Come on, is this really about cartoons? They're rampaging and burning flags. They're looking for Europeans to kidnap. They're threatening innkeepers and generally raising holy Muslim hell not because of any outrage over a cartoon. They're outraged because it is part of the Islamic jihadist culture to be outraged. You don't really need a reason. You just need an excuse. Wandering around, destroying property, murdering children, firing guns into the air and feigning outrage over the slightest perceived insult is to a jihadist what tailgating is to a Steeler's fan.

I know and understand that these bloodthirsty murderers do not represent the majority of the world's Muslims. When, though, do they become outraged? When do they take to the streets to express their outrage at the radicals who are making their religion the object of worldwide hatred and ridicule? Islamic writer Salman Rushdie wrote of these silent Muslims in a New York Times article three years ago. "As their ancient, deeply civilized culture of love, art and philosophical reflection is hijacked by paranoiacs, racists, liars, male supremacists, tyrants, fanatics and violence junkies, why are they not screaming?"

Indeed. Why not?

 

What you are completely ignoring is that he IS blaming all Muslims for the acts of the very few whacko’s that commit these kinds of heinous acts of barbarism. He isn’t even letting a rational individual speak before he lumps him together with all the extremists that claim to represent Islam. You can’t support his extreme view and what it represents without becoming a part of the lie he is propagating.
You and he ask a simple question about why there isn’t more outrage by Muslims when these killings occur. Look around your own country and ask yourself why we accept lies from our leaders and we aren’t protesting in the streets and screaming for blood while our children are sent to die for no good reason. We have plenty to scream about and yet we go about our lives with little interest and less outrage than is merited. Yet if somebody wants to unplug a brain-dead woman, or burn a flag, or put an ad in a newspaper, we lose it and outrage is headline news. Is it really any different? Focus on the big picture and you begin to see much more.

 

Sending our children " off to die " for no good reason?

Sounds like you are drinking the koolaide today. I have come to expect smarter comments than that from you Moen.

Americans send our children who volunteer for our Military Service off to fight neccessary wars to defend our nation, our freedom, our Constitution and what it stands for. We do not send our children off to die.


Radical Muslim's send their children off to die. Off to kill. They train and brainwash their children to blindly kill themselves, because the parents are radical hate machines to cowardly to do it . They send their children off to kill people because they don't like their religion or where they live or the freedoms they have.


Radical Muslims send their children off to blow themselves up and anyone near them, yet there are people in this country who call our young men and women in the armed forces murderers, terrorists and rapists. Thats the part I cannot figure out.

No, Americans do not send their children off to die. There is a differance if you would open your eyes.

I think you are both missing the point here. If America is genuinely threatened it is the duty of every American regardless of how old or how young to do anything they can to protect this country. This isn't a case of Iraq threatening America. Iraq defied America and we trumped up a reason to unilaterally invade them. They didn't show up on our shores and start hunting our leaders, unfortunately, we went there and attacked them with the excuse that they were involved in 9/11, that they had nuclear weapons, that Saddam Hussein was just a dictator, that we were bringing them democracy, you name it. Trumped up reason after trumped up reason to do what the neocons intended to do all along. The result is that our young people are dying and suffering life-long disabling injuries by the 10's of thousands for the neocons ideologies not because Iraq was threatening us in any way. So if this is what you consider a necessary war, I hope that your children get the chance to participate.
I don't give a damn what radical Muslims and their children do. I don't intend to replicate their insanity with insanity of my own. Using their behavior as a rationalization for sending our children off to fight and die in trumped up wars is just as insane as anything they do. The only real difference is that both sides feel they are serving a greater cause....no wait, even that is the same, just the causes are different.

 

Well, this is kind of a broad statement, because there are those who would, and those who would take off for Canada or the tall timber country if danger came calling.
So now I will repeat, it is my belief that no sane person would send their child off to war to die! While it may be true that you might incurage them to participate in a so called 'just' cause ( what ever that may be), I would hope you would still intend for the child to return safe and sound.

 

Yeah, thats what I MEANT.. A just cause, but we want them HOME AGAIN, sorry for the misunderstanding. Next time read what I think, not what I type, lol.

 

You can't really assume who would do what because this country has never been attacked in living memory. The closest real attack was on Hawaii which was essentially ours and people came out of the woodwork to defend this country from the Japanese.
War is a gamble at best. You hope and pray that your family comes home safe but you have to expect the worst. You send soldiers off to fight but dying is always a possibility. Families don't send their children off to die, governments send our children off to die. Statistically speaking.
