I think you will find that in the late 40s early 50s a lot of people ate horse in the UK due to rationing and general shortages. Although it is not an alien concept here. http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/jun/18/horse-meat-in-uk-wheatgerm http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1550742/We-should-eat-horse-meat-says-Ramsay.html
Clinton is guilty of sexual promiscuity, as there is no doubt that he enjoyed having as much sex as possible with as many women as he could convince to take their clothes off and have sex with him (stands up and claps). But, he was also a politician, and that insane amount of sex with multiple women got him into trouble politically... it was inevitible. The lying part, and the subsequent near-impeachment, came into play when he was compelled to confess to the World that he liked having lots of sex with lots of different women. I don't blame him for lying about having lots of sex with lots of women, since he was married and was the President at the time he was compelled to answer questions about all the sex he had with all those women. I do blame him for the following: "That depends on what the meaning of 'is' ....is." Up to that point in time it was the greatest bs line from a sitting President. Then there was Bush Jr., who convinced me that even a near-retarded person can become President (if his daddy has enough money and influence, of course). I prefer the one who had lots and lots and lots of sex with lots and lots and lots of women.
Thank you; finally someone who sees a problem with this. I am not a vegetarian but I eat a lot more vegetables more than I eat meat. I don't care that this used to be an option in the past. What I care about is that it's an option now in my lifetime and I don't see why we should be eating a wild and free animal to this country. I believe it's bad enough I will eat a cow and chicken. The horse meat is probably better because they are only grass feeders but come on. Leave wild animals alone. I believe that some animals are not meant to be digested and this is one of them. I regurgitate my food if I hear someone talking about killing deer, elk, and the like for sport or venison. It just doesn't seem humane. I'm not saying that I am an activitist by 100% but I certainly believe that most of these animals deserve to live. As for the those that need to be put down, I'm not in any way even willing to consider it either if that horse gets shots with bullets. It would take a lot of sanitation to ensure that the meat and organs don't have any residue from the bullet. Are they crazy up in Washington D.C.? Leave the animals alone and protect them. We have enough animals as it is going extinct in this country.
