Hey y'all. I am new here. Just stumbled upon this forum and have been doing a little reading and I thought I'd share something I saw this afternoon that I honestly could not believe and still don't know what to think of it. You know how Obama says he's a Christian? His church even has the word "Christ" in it... I know they're a little whacked in their beliefs, but you would expect them to in SOME way at least honor and respect Jesus and the Bible! Well, a video has surfaced from 2006 where Obama is mocking outright Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount and the books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy. He is saying these things, making the point that no nation should even attempt to model itself after God's Word. A Christian man, seeking to be the president of a nation founded on Christian principles, now emphatically saying it is FOOLISH to follow the Bible - and laughing at and mocking Jesus' words!! Unbelievable, I can't get over it. I thought I'd get some opinions on the video... you can see it here
Hey Eowyn, Welcome to the forum for starters. Now down to brass tacks. Horribly edited video. I post "video" links here on occasion and get blasted for them. Seems a lot is taken out of context here. That aside I have a real serious question for you. When did this nation become a theocracy? Isn't freedom of religion one of our founding principles? If we were a theocracy what religion would we all be required to follow? At least you put this in the religious forum. Other than that you have done nothing more but put down a link to a bunch of religious/political rubbish as I see it. That's MY opinion. Others will have differing opinions I'm sure. My religion? Basically "Do unto others". Three words that could make the world a better place. Afraid it will never happen.

I am shocked the Dems are vilifying Repubs who have made successes of themselves while, at the same time, showing a video of the mega-wealthy Kennedy clan enjoying a day of sailing off their Martha's Vineyard compound. Hypocritics? What about Obama wanting to jack up our taxes to pay for his socialist entitlements when we gave a paltry 1% of his income to charity? Hypocritics? For comparison sake, the reviled Dick Cheney gace $6.6 million to charity vs an $8 million income. Evil, evil man!!
Barack Hussein Obama had a muslim father and a muslim stepfather/live in boyfriend and attended a madrass when he lived in the largest muslim nation in the world, Indonesia. All we hear about is Hawaii but Indonesia was where is mind was formed. That he joined an anti-white black church that has ties to the black muslims of chicago is not a surprise.
I am no fan of Obama's political stances, and in particular his LACK of EXPERIANCE, but come on, this religious hookum is nothing but nonsense. Think along the lines of coming up with an argument against Barack Obama that has substance, and not a personal attack. Perhaps one could relay how little legislation he has affected within his tenure in the Senate, and indeed his celebrity status. Religion? Yeah, whatever.
