Is Global Warming (Climate Change) inevitable? I say yes. When you consider the factors contributing to the warming of our planet (wild fires, the burning of fossil fuels, etc.). We now have to deal with the thawing of the Tundra (permafrost) which is releasing massive amounts of CO2 and methane gas into the atmosphere.
Climate Change is definitely inevitable . . . that's why the liberals abandoned the moniker "Global Warming" and adopted "Climate Change" as the new name for the subject of their green movement . . . because warming is not always the trend. After all, when the last humans have died off and there are no more inhabitants to release potential energy, the Deep Freeze will have begun . . . not that we'll have to wait that long .
I didn't do a lot of paying attention in school, but I do remember paying attention the day they taught us that America was covered in ice a mere 15,000 years ago. Now I know that denying global warming is a popular right wing position.... But I was taught in grade school that this spinning rock always has been and always will be in a state of climate change. So I rather developed the attitude early on that we humans were a bit arrogant to think that we had the ability to change the course of Mother Nature. Yes, we should be responsible, however change will happen whether we like it or not.
We can be smarter, take better care of the planet, and let the market guide innovation (instead of forcing so-called "green" technology which in many ways is more destructive/harmful to large portions of the population).
I'm reading a book right now entitled "Unsettled" by Steven E. Koonin. Dr Koonin was the Undersecretary for Science at the Department of Energy under President Obama. His research confirms what I've said all along...when you zoom out, weather patterns are no different now than before Man existed. Weather patterns (and atmospheric concentrations) are a function of the Sun's activity, not Man's. Does Man put more CO2 into the atmosphere than the carbon cycle can remove? ...Yes. Does increased CO2 in the atmosphere affect climate? ...Certainly. Does any of this amount to a hill of beans when compared with the Sun? ...Not a chance. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1950665798?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
Climate Change. Global Warming. Cow Farts. It's all just a way for the goddamned socialists to try to take over and fundamentally transform our society. Unfortunately, there are still some pea-brained idiots who believe the vomit they're spewing.
