When I sold my company I swore I was done with hotsauce but I guess I'm addicted lol. I truly love making sauce.....but for fun only...I'll never again do it with deadlines and balance sheets. DeOrc.....I remember sending you sauce once correct? I'll add you to my spring batch......lol......going to need more than 8 gallons I see. The list keeps growing
Yes, that makes perfect sense. The BBQ guy said it was expense so I'm sure that's what it was. Nevertheless, it had a good taste (after my mouth cooled down enough to taste). I'm sure one of your Scorpions would put it to shame. I don't know if I could handle a Scorpion.. I've had some very hot peppers, but nothing quite that high on the rating scale!
If you are lucky enough to get a bottle from Jack, it's worth it. I snagged a bottle several years ago and it lasted quite a while. It was very hot so I used it sparingly. The bottle lasted a couple of years since I would only use a drop or two in a pot of stew or chili, etc. Damn good stuff!
I got a zebra tomato plant that gave me a good sized tomato. Got a few strawberry plants. Also there's a few fruit producing plants around my house they usually fall into my yard and we gather and pick the good ones. Got some peaches, figs, and grapes.
This is well past the season, but we do a small garden here, Northern Michigan. Potatoes, tomatoes, yellow onions, and green beans. This year I canned tomato / vegetable juice, tomato sauce, and green beans with new potatoes. I also did some Peach Lavender jam using peaches from a local farmer. If I knew how to "do" walnuts, I'd be trying it I think.. We've picked up and pitched eleven five-gallon buckets of them in my yard, with plenty more to go. Everything here is in over abundance this year, so I think we re in for a hard winter!
I haven't really gardened in some time but when I did..... I DO still have a killer bucket of chives that has lasted at least 20 years.
